Chanel Review > Le Blanc Huile (Healthy Light Creator Oil/ Face oil)

Published by Jasmine Seo

If you have been in love with Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait oil serum over Autumn and Winter, you will enjoy their new launch Le Blanc Healthy Light Creator Oil in the coming warmer weather which I will simply call Le Blanc Huile instead throughout this post.

Scent

Chanel Le Blanc Huile still contains artificial parfume in the ingredients, but I would say it comes way more mild than some of the rest of Le Blanc skincare products. Your nose will definitely sense its floral scent upon application, but it doesn't linger on skin that long or overpower its pleasant consistency.

Consistency & Skin types

The texture is certainly in a fast-absorbing lighter category as expected from non-greasy oils including jojoba oil and squalane. The face oil isn't 100% natural, but the formulation has gotten way better than old Chanel skincare products as the company has been seemingly showing their increased care for well-being of skin. I still wouldn't say that Le Blanc Huile is the best option for very sensitive skin if one doesn't have any tolerance to their fragrance though.

Nevertheless, the oil has a very silky satiny finish without any oily sticky residue once it's fully absorbed. There isn't much abundant hydrating or moisturising feel to skin, but it will do its job for upcoming sunny days.

If your skin is on the oily combination to normal side, you will definitely love the texture of the oil. Your skin will feel that it's still breathing rather something is masking on top of your skin.

The oil may not be moisturising enough for those with dry skin, but I still think that it will be a good one for daytime under make-up as it doesn't seem to cause a massive oil attack throughout the day at least for my normal skin.

Effectiveness & Tips

Although I don't believe in face oils bringing brightening benefits to skin just by themselves, I think that some may get better results with it simply due to its versatility. I don't see why it wouldn't increase the effectiveness of the Le Blanc skincare products when the oils is paired together. Regardless, my skin felt velvety soft upon wake-up without any clogged pores or little bumps, which I consider to be very important when choosing a face oil.

Chanel Healthy Light Creator Oil is also a great one to add a few drops into your regular mist or toner as a boosting treatment to skin. I've been using the oil this way near my cycle when I tend to let my skin to rest and breathe, and it turned out to be quite successful without causing any imbalance. It also goes well with their Hydra Beauty Micro Serum and Le Blanc Serum (Healthy Light Creator) whether it's mixed in or followed by the serum.

If your skin is prone to be oily, then you will like the way that I used the oil with my mist which I explained above, or if you just don't bother doing all the work, then you could just massage the oil into skin when your skin is slightly wet shortly after washing your face. This will help greatly as it will increase the absorption of the oil into skin.

Chanel Le Blanc Huile also works very well for glow make-up without melting down your foundation or CC cushion whichever you prefer to use although the outcome can vary depending on your skin type and the amount that you use at the time. It's a very luxurious option, but if you have trouble fixing base make-up throughout the day, I recommend you to take a drop of the face oil to a cotton pad and trace the area that you want to fix. It will soothe and moisturise the area without irritating skin, which also makes it easier to fix the make-up. If you want a bit of more oomph during the process, I also suggest you to add a spray of your favourite mist to the cotton pad together with the a drop of oil.
