La Prairie Review > Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing Brightening Eye Treatment (Concealer/ Highlighter/ Primer/ Ft. Beauty and the Beast)

Published by Jasmine Seo

I was meaning to make a post on La Prairie Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing Brightening Eye Treatment about 5 years ago, but I took more time as I thought that I might have been able to find better one from other brands. I also believe that it's often quite difficult to find universally suitable make-up products to meet individual needs, which is another reason why I haven't written so much on make-up products over the past years. Regardless, I have come across different liquid types of concealers and highlighters and I must admit that the La Prairie concealer/highlighter is by far my favourite.

It's indeed my most loved and used in terms of its versatility, convenience and value for money. To be honest, I never thought La Prairie concealer/highlighter would be listed on my make-up favourite list as I never really liked their mascara from the beginning, which is funny. Versatility is one of the key parts that I look for when choosing beauty products. It can be used as an eye make-up primer, concealer and also highlighter.

As an eye make-up primer, I like to use it on my entire eyelid and under eye area. It gives a subtle redness and darkness correction on eyelids without looking too pinky or white and also gives a smooth finish without feeling siliconey or mattifying. My eye area tends to get extra dry on the days when I have my eye make-up on, but La Prairie Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing Brightening Eye Treatment seems to prevent it from happening. Unless you have particularly oily eyelids, I don't see any eye make-up longevity issue.

As a concealer for eyes and face, it conceals subtley without looking cakey or standing out too much. Although it offers quite limited shades, the colours are easily blended into any foundations and CC cushions that I use. I'm on shade 20 and I can use it all over my face for a quick fix. It covers dark circles and breakouts in a very natural subtle way and it overall enhances the look. It gives that no make-up make-up look that my man still thinks that I don't get dark circles ever :P.

It's also buildable, so I suggest you to gradually build it up as you go. It will never give you that opaque coverage that you would get from their Skin Caviar foundation concealer, however, it will be enough for those who embrace a natural look. I would say that it gives light to medium coverage. For blemishes, I use La Prairie concealer on top of my CC cushion or foundation, then I dust a loose powder lightly over the concealer. If I need more coverage, then I build up a bit more concealer after the loose powder. It takes down the bumpiness and redness of the blemishes significantly that it's my true go to product during my monthly.

As a highlighter, it takes off any shadowy area with just a few clicks. The finish is very natural that I just use it over my face without even putting any foundation on. I use it on my forehead, eye area, cheekbones, side of my nose, nose bridge, around lip area including cupid bow and chin. Yes, all over my face! :3. I don't like to look too done up when I go to dog parks or to get groceries, so I use La Prairie concealer/highlighter for an S.O.S quick fix for myself. Unlike some of the famous click type highlighters on the market, it gives a very beautifully enhanced look without looking too obvious. If you have been avoiding any highlighters due to their unnatural light reflective finish, I highly recommend you to try out La Prairie one. The best part is that it comes with a refill and also has skincare benefits, so it turns out that it's way more economical than some of the major leading brands.

Anyway, I went out with my man to watch the new Beauty and the Beast movie and stopped by at the Disney store in Bellevue! :D There was a big section of Emma Watson dolls on the corner, but I felt quite sorry for her as those dolls don't look very good O_O.

I have no idea why Disney did this to her, but oh well, C'est la vie! >_< I didn't get any of her dolls, but my sweetest man got me a Disney Animators' Collection which I instantly fell in love with XD. Is this what you call love at first sight? <3 Hehe.
