If you have a dog or a child, and regularly shop at HMart (Asian grocers') in Lynnwood, I suggest you visit Wilcox Park on the way just to get some fresh air or sun :).
My man and I visited Wilcox Park with our border collie Yuna for the first time as the sun finally came out after a long period of rain. The park by itself is in a residential area and near roads, so I wouldn't personally let children or dogs run around by themselves as it can potentially be dangerous. And it isn't an off-leash dog park, so you will need a leash for your dog.
Unlike the look of the entrance, the park was surprisingly good and spacious enough for everyone to run around. Wilcox Park has good seating here and there throughout the grassy area, and it also has a public bathroom and a playground for children. There are swings too, so if you are a swing person like me, you could try if there aren't too many little ones queueing :P.
It's peak Winter here and it has been constantly raining almost everyday, yet it wasn't as muddy than I initially expected. The grass was very well kept at the park, way better than Marymoor off-leash dog park that we normally take our dogs too.
There's a good proportion of trees and grass, so you can get some good shade too if you don't like to be in direct sunlight. In our case, we desperately need sun that we always try to go out as much as we can since there are more grey days than sunny ones here :3.
We brought our usual flexi leash and Kong frisbee for Yuna, and had some fun playing intensely in the sun :). You can always do this in your yard, but the different locations add some spice to it at least for our dogs anyways.
Yuna got exhausted pretty quick, so we wandered around the park before heading home. If you are looking for a family park both for babies and dogs, I recommend Wilcox Park in Lynnwood. Having said that, there are no pooch bags available on site, so you will need to bring your bag just in case.
