My man and I arrived at Bellevue Square about 20 min early yesterday, so this is how we killed our time together, exploring all the closed shops :P. Lol.
I kept my skin care and make-up very minimal as I had a make-up appointment with La Prairie after the show.
*On my nails: Chanel La Base, Chanel nail varnish in shade 675 Troublante & Deborah Lippmann 'Addicted To Speed' Ultra Quick Dry Topcoat
If you ask me how the show was, then well, I guess my expectation was too high content-wise :P. However, I did enjoy meeting new people sharing common ground!:D
Let's say the show was more of introducing some new products from different widely-known brands rather than actually showing you how you create the look or giving any information on the technology behind the product formulations. Perhaps that's why all of them were saying come and see us at our counter..etc. If they were movies, the show was basically a collection of different short trailers.
However, trust me, they did give away plenty of freebies O_O. No wonder there were many people at 7:30 am :O. My man and I didn't win any of them other than the goodie bag they gave us though :(.
I also quite liked the idea of incorporating a fashion segment into beauty trend show. You know, our make up changes depending on the clothes we wear.
I guess it was supposed to be presented like a runway show, but the music that they put on was.... just a bit too much, at least for me :P. What I'm saying is the quality of music selection wasn't any near that of a runway show :/. The music was definitely overpowering the presenters, not just because of the volume but due to the fact that their choice of music for the show didn't seem to quit fit in well. Regardless, I loved and loved the green tea that they offered ^_^. Simply pleasant!
Regardless, as my man and I purchased the ticket for the Spring Beauty Trend Show (i.e. redeemable $20*2 upon purchase), so I got Cellular Hand Cream, which was out of stock, but it will be delivered at our door. I also wanted to get Cellular Lip Colour Effects in shade Firefly Glace, but again they didn't have it, so I'm waiting for their call when it's back in stock :(. Anyways that was my purchase this time from La Prairie counter after a little pampering session :D. Guess what! I was the very first client of the day at the La Prairie counter :P. Haha. Yes, little things make me feel special :P.
Anyways, I got my skin prepped and make-up done by lovely ladies Jay and Michelle (Counter Manager). Michelle kindly colour matched my skin, and put Skin Caviar Concealer• Foundation Sunscreen SPF 15 in shade Warm Beige on me, mixing in a bit of eye cream. At the beginning, I was a little skeptical as I've had a hard time finding a right shade for my skin for the last a few years, but wow! Michelle did an excellent job, which made me very pleased :D.
Jay also gave my man a mini facial sitting right next to me, which was very kind of her :). And of course, the dry patches on his face were all gone and he just loved every bit of it including hand massage ;).
Small gifts from Michelle
Basically that's all of what my man and I did :). Thanks for reading and happy Easter!
