Kat Burki Review > Ocean Mineral Gel Cleanser

Published by Jasmine Seo

Unlike other Kat Burki products, Ocean Mineral Gel Cleanser smells quite neutral although there's a very slight hue of their signature scent. It foams very easily and feels very light on skin. I was very impressed as I only got that kind of feeling from Sisley Phyto Blanc Foaming Cleanser which is the foaming cleanser I've used the most.

However, the foam actually disappears pretty fast, so be quick if you can. For those who like to wash their face for more than a few minutes, then this could be a problem, but it's always nice to keep the cleansing routine short for skin. And the best part is that you don't need any other tools to make foam bigger as it already foams very fine :).

Effectiveness

It feels very gentle and refreshing, which works great for all seasons. Although it's gentle and calming, I wouldn't recommend using it near eyelashes as it stung and irritated my eyes a bit. The discomfort quickly goes away after rinsing off though.

Personally, I haven't noticed any sebum controlling benefits, but it seems to keep breakouts at bay. My pores seem clean in general when I use Kat Burki Ocean Mineral Gel Cleanser, but that doesn't mean that it gets rid of whiteheads effectively. I think that it's pretty normal, considering how gentle the cleanser is. By the way, it isn't super deep cleansing, so you will still need to use a deep cleansing mask weekly. And if you put on waterproof or long-wearing make-up everyday, then I recommend you use other make-up removers like a cleansing water beforehand.
