Estée Lauder Review > Nutritious Micro-Algae Pore Purifying Cleansing Jelly (Gel foaming cleanser/ Oily Combination skin)

Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae Pore Purifying Cleansing Jelly is the newest addition to their cleansers, and I have been using it for a couple of months now as I have been a massive fan of algae skincare products like from La Mer. I love gel cleansers as much as I enjoy creamy foam cleansers that majority of luxury skincare brands carry.

Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae cleansing gel feels lightweight without oiliness, yet lathers rich and foams very easily.

It feels very basic and even smells very plain, some might say it smells a little cheap if you are used to more fragranced products. The smell reminds me of natural fragrance-free handwash products that you can get at supermarkets although Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae cleansing gel contains fragrance.

Benefits

A cleansing gel that removes makeup particles and impurities and leaves skin feeling soft, supple and fresh.

  • Gentle, non-drying formula
  • Purifying, cleansing, controlling oil

Verdict

If you used multiple cleansing products including cleansing water or even wipes, you may find Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae cleansing gel a bit drying after washing. I think that the cleanser works better for normal to oily/combination skin, but it may work just as fine if you're not overusing make-up removers beforehand.

It takes off sunscreens very easily and my skin feels soft and clean without too much uncomfortable tightness. Having said that, I've noticed that it isn't the best one to use if you are on Retin-A treatment or on accutane. Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae cleansing gel removes light make-up including tinted moisturier and light to medium coverage foundations, but I would never go near eye or lip area. It does sting when it gets into eyes, so I highly recommend you to use eye make-up remover beforehand as Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae cleansing gel isn't designed to take off eye make-up.

I personally find Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae cleansing gel quite PMS friendly, and it seems to control black and whiteheads effectively even when I don't use my cleansing tools. If you live in humid/hot weather condition, I think that it's worthwhile to try as the price and the result that you get isn't bad at all. If you are looking for something basic but still does its job as a cleanser, I suggest Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae Pore Purifying Cleansing Jelly as a nighttime introductory cleanser to try out.
