As my readers would know, I have been using La Mer The Hydrating Facial sheet mask for many years now especially over cold/dry seasons, and it has been working brilliantly along with their The Treatment Lotion (aka boosting essence lotion). La Mer launched The Treatment Lotion Hydrating Mask last year, and I've been enjoying it ever since its release, so here comes my review! 😃
This innovative sheet mask is infused with almost a full ounce of The Treatment Lotion’s energizing vitality in each application. With Japanese skin-hugging technology and millions of micro-fibers that deliver a concentrated surge of healing hydration, this mask visibly plumps and energizes for a healthy-looking glow in minutes.
Scent & Consistency
There isn't much recognisable scent in La Mer The Treatment Lotion Hydrating Mask other than a very slight essential oil hue, but I don't think that the majority of users will notice unless they pay attention to it. Having said that, the mask isn't free of fragrance or fragrance related skin allergens, so the mask won't be friendly to some with skin sensitivity.
The texture of the essence is the same as their The Treatment Lotion; a lightweight runny consistency dense gel that absorbs into skin fast.
It feels light on skin without an alcohol cooling feel just by itself, but when this comes into a sheet mask strength, it shows excellent longevity in skin hydration.
You leave the sheet mask on for 8 minutes, and instantly you will notice hydrated, well-rested, glowing skin.

If you have used a sheet mask before from any brand, you would know that there is almost always excess essence. I sometimes save it in a small jar in the fridge to use again within the next 24 hours. However, I like to layer the excess after taking the sheet mask off as long as my time allows. As for La Mer The Treatment Lotion Hydrating Mask, it gets quite sticky when layered multiple times, so I have been using it mostly at night.
Upon waking up, I've noticed that my skin looks and feels youthful and more toned. It does seem to plump, hydrate, smooth and bring back that glow to skin. My stress and dehydration induced spots from overworking and lack of sleep lately are seemingly soothed. Even during my cycle, it heals my hormonal breakouts pretty fast, which is significant for me as I normally go out with very minimal or no make-up.
Having said that, La Mer The Treatment Lotion Hydrating Mask contains certain ingredients like Pegs, urea and eucalyptus leaf oil, so I wouldn't say that the mask is ideal for sensitive and reactive skin. Nevertheless, I personally find La Mer The Treatment Lotion Hydrating Mask jet-legged and stressed skin friendly, so frequent travellers would enjoy the mask as well as those whose skin needs some boost in skin regeneration.
