Olie Biologique Review > Organic Argan Oil & 23K Gold Argan Oil

Published by Jasmine Seo

I discovered the New York based Olie Biologique back in 2015 when I was searching for a reliable argan oil. It's true that there has been an increased number of small and big companies producing different kinds of argan oils. As a consumer, it was very frustrating to hunt for good ones since they all sounded pretty much the same. Argan oils are naturally rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, which was the main reason I was looking for one as I need more of a protective barrier on my skin.

I chose Olie Biologique Argan Oil and 23K Gold Argan Oil as my very first argan oils because the company seemed to be more trustworthy in the field. Unlike some other natural skincare brands, Olie Biologique's specialty is face oils. They offer a wide range of face oils for different purposes, and the argan oils are indeed best-sellers :). Their argan oil is non-GMO, 100% USDA certified organic and they use wind energy to produce. How nice is that! I'm not an activist, but I do respect companies who actually care about our earth :).

With their Organic Argan Oil, I noticed that my skin felt visibly supple even in the very cold Winter weather. It's fragrance-free so it didn't have any perfumey or potent essential oil scent, which never gave me a headache. Some people are hesitant using a face oil simply because of the texture, but I was always a bit more cautious of the side effects that potent fragrance gives me, which is a headache. Regardless, Olie Biologique Argan Oil has been working wonderfully that I've been using it as a quick top to toe treat for myself :P.

After trying it, I decided to purchase their quite expensive 23K Gold Argan Oil, and I'm on my third bottle now. It's 23K gold infused and it provides extra benefits that gold offers to skin, mostly to do with anti-aging. It was funny because I couldn't tell the difference between their Organic Argan Oil and Organic 23K Gold Argan Oil. They smell basically the same, feel the same, and even penetration speed is also about the same. The only differences are that one contains gold and the other one is USDA certified organic. However, 23K Gold Argan Oil doesn't seem to contain that much gold visibly as there are tiny gold flakes, but not much.

They are both non-irritating that even my man who has an eczema prone skin likes those oils. As his skin's very fragile and thin that he has been using them on clean and still damp face and hands after washing but before using Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream. Even my man was very pleasantly surprised as Olie Biologique Argan Oils didn't irritate his skin whereas he thought that he would never be able to use any type of oil due to his skin's reaction to them generally.

Overall, I've been in love with Olie Biologique Argan Oils for the past few years for their efficacy. They don't seem to dramatically reduce wrinkles or pigmentation, but my skin feels more soothed and less aggravated even in pollution including yellow dust. As is the nature of an oil, even Olie Biologique Argan oils have a limit to deeply penetrate into skin as they aren't serums. So if you want to relieve dehydration, then I suggest you massage in a few drops directly onto your clean, damp face after washing and before toning and moisturising. I've been doing that for long, and it does help with dehydration, leaving skin more balanced. For extra protection, layer another a few drops more once it's fully absorbed or use your regular moisturiser. You can also mix the oil into your moisturiser if you want. You will notice that hydration lasts much longer throughout the day :).
