My mum got me 4 bottles of Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum from her trip to France last year which I've been enjoying. It has a spicy cinnamon like hue to its scent, which took me some time to get used to as I'm more used to floral scents in general. Having said that, the scent isn't that overwhelming, and it doesn't smell strongly of essential oils, which I really like about it as I tend to get nausea from some natural skincare products.
Now that I'm on my last bottle, I get to appreciate the scent, well, I guess it's more like I now understand😋. As I've been using it day and night, I find the scent quite mind awakening and therapeutic even after a long day's work.
Consistency
Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum has a runny gel consistency like Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Serum, but the Caudalie one is more lightweight, and absorbs into skin a bit more neatly (not matte) than the Estée Lauder one.
With Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum, skin feels smooth to the touch and there's a pleasant firming sensation along with a subtle glow upon application. Having said that, I still think that Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Serum provides a better glow and hydration upon application.

Verdict
Thanks to its lightweight consistency and fast absorption, you could even incorporate Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum into your firming/lifting skincare routine as a boosting serum underneath your regular serum to enhance facial contour. If you decide to use it underneath your moisturiser, I highly suggest you to use upper stroking motions with finger tips, I also noticed that it seems to work well in synergy with the serum.
Based on my personal observations, Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum does seem to contour your jawline a bit, but not that much around the middle zone of face including your cheeks. I think that the serum is better suited for maintenance and prevention purposes, whereas Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Serum seems to improve overall skin texture and hydration more visibly with continuous usage.
Nevertheless, they both offer good firming/anti-wrinkle benefits for those in their late 20's and 30's without causing breakouts even during your monthly. If you are currently using Retin-A (aka Tretinoin) prescribed ointment, I noticed that Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum works better with it. Hope this post helped😊.
