Dior Review > Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque (Overnight mask/ Hormonal aging)

Published by Jasmine Seo

As my skin has gotten a bit dry ever since I moved to WA, Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque has become one of my favourite overnight rejuvenating masks. If you are looking for a mask that helps with skin elasticity and resilience, you are at the right place😉.

Scent & Consistency

Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque is elegantly rose scented, and has a buttery creamy consistency that melts into skin delicately without any tacky or overly oily feel.

It goes on smooth and leaves skin supple and glowing. The entire application process feels very self-indulgent, and I strongly suggest you to combine it with a bit of facial massage as it does seem to increase overall efficacy of the mask.

I personally really love how I could give myself a bit of short proper facial massage, and take it all the way down to my neck and decollete area smoothly with Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque.

Benefits

Dior Prestige Le Grande Masque is a deeply reoxygenating mask that stimulates cellular respiration*.  It replenishes the skin, leaving it looking fresh and full of vitality.  Facial contours are firmed and the skin regains its plumpness. Its fine, melt-in texture is unbelievably soft and literally wraps the skin. The complementary massage ritual offers a moment of extreme sensory pleasure during application.

In regular need of an oxygen supply, delicate skin requires a weekly "breath of fresh air". Le Grand Masque stimulates cellular breathing within the epidermis and the dermis, providing an ideal level of skin oxygenation. It also stimulates the circulation and transportation of oxygen.

Application

Use once or twice a week, in place of your night Creme.

Verdict

Upon application, you will instantly get that expensive spa glow to skin like some other luxury skincare masks that I reviewed in the past. However, I've found the glow from Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque lasts all night through morning, even after washing my face in the morning. Skin feels smooth and soft to touch upon wake up, and you will feel that your skin has been well-nourished even after washing your face with lukewarm water.

I've also noticed that I tend to use less products in the morning when I would use Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque a night before as the mask has been doing an excellent job keeping my skin well-quenched. With continuous regular usage, my skin feels and looks well-rested and somewhat plumper. The mask seems to work particularly well in synergy with lifting/firming/hydrating skincare products, and Dior Prestige Le Grand Masque has been my S.O.S nighttime treatment after long sun exposure doing yard work on the weekends.

Due to its rich texture, I wouldn't suggest the mask to those with oily and problem prone skin. Having said that, I have normal to dehydrated combination skin, and it has not broken out my skin during my cycle. My mother in her 60's who still goes through menopausal symptoms on and off finds the mask quite effective, so I would certainly recommend it to those with mature/dry/menopausal skin.
