Kahina Giving Beauty Review > Toning Mist (Toner)

Published by Jasmine Seo

As you may have already noticed from my previous posts on Kahina Giving Beauty in general, I simply love and enjoy her products. It feels somewhat strage to me as there have not been many natural skincare products that have worked well on my skin without causing any breakouts. Kahina Giving Beauty is one of the few natural skincare brands that I can purchase full size products without even testing or trying out samples. Anyway, I've written about their face oils before, and today I'm following up with their Toning Mist that I like using in Spring and Summer with or without their face oils.

Scent & Consistency

Kahina Giving Beauty Toning Mist comes in a nice heavy spray bottle, and you only need one to two full sprays to cover your face and neck. The mist may not be the finest in the market, but it sprays fine and smooth compared to other natural skincare brands. It also sprays wide, which is very convenient on busy mornings when I'm in a rush getting ready as I normally use one full spray to my face with my eyes closed.

Unlike some of popular face mists on the market, Kahina Giving Beauty Toning Mist feels very soothing, neat and clean; simply watery and lightweight. There's no essential oil scent or even oily residude upon spraying. This is very important to me as I often get little bumps on my face here and there when a product contains too much essential oil or even those that don't get along with my skin. Kahina Giving Beauty Toning Mist doesn't ruin make-up, so it's also nice to carry around in a bag and spray throughout the day.

Benefits

Infuse skin with this bioactive complex toning mist, lightly scented with Moroccan desert rose and designed to:

  • Replenish moisture throughout the day
  • Calm skin irritation and add radiance
  • Gently tone and minimize pores
  • Increase efficacy of Kahina Argan Oil and Kahina Serum

Suitable for all skin types.

Effectiveness / Tips

When my sister got pregnant, she had real trouble finding a soothing gentle mist that she could use during the day as her skin got more dry. She also became more sensitive to fragrance, so she always tried to avoid anything smelling like an essential oil or too floral. That was when I let her try out my Kahina Giving Beauty Toning Mist, and she absolutely fell in love and she even continued to use it with their Prickly Pear Seed Oil after nursing my niece.

Anyway, Kahina Giving Beauty Toning Mist is one of few mists that I can trust using even during my cycle. I personally don't use it much when my cycle approaches as I don't like to sensitise my skin further. So I've been spraying some of the mist on to my palm and mix it with a drop of their Argan oil (in Autumn and Winter) or Prickly Pear Seed Oil (Spring and Summer), and patting it onto my skin gently after initially spraying with the mist onto my face. And if I feel in need of more moisturisation, I would follow with a few more drops of whatever oil that I mixed into the mist before.

To be honest, there is no burst of hydration or even instant perfecting glow upon using the mist. However, it seems to work well within any skincare regime including anti-aging and brightening without causing any sensitivity. The price may seem a little more expensive than other natural skincare brands, but I've always noticed that the quality and formulation of Kahina Giving Beauty products in general seem to be way better than those. And I also love the fact that the company supports Berber women in Morocco and their commnunities, which may be another reason why I enjoy using their products :3. Regardless, if you are looking for a reliable mist for skin's well-being, I suggest you try out Kahina Giving Beauty Toning Mist :).
