Lancôme Review > Exfoliance Clarté Fresh Exfoliating Clarifying Gel with Papaya Extract (Tips)

Published by Jasmine Seo

Lancôme Exfoliance Clarté Fresh Exfoliating Clarifying Gel has a bouncy lightweight gel texture. It actually does feel fresh on skin just like says in its name. It doesn't hurt or sting at all when you start gently rolling onto your slightly damp face. After rinsing off with water, skin feels smooth and clean without an uncomfortable tight feel. It also has a pleasant floral scent, but if you are sensitive to fragrance, you might want to check to see if your skin is fine with it.

Effectiveness

Lancôme Exfoliance Clarté Fresh Exfoliating Clarifying Gel does its job as an exfoliant, but I was curious as I personally find it a lot similar to gel cleansers on the market, so I did an experiment. Yes, I tested to see if it takes off sunscreens and make-up.

The result? Yes, it almost completely cleanses although it take a little bit longer (about by 30-40 sec) to take them off. On the surface, this is great! However, I'm a bit concerned that it may cause skin imbalance if you use the exfoliating gel after using any of regular cleansers, which I find overkill. So for my readers, I'd suggest you to use it by itself instead of your cleanser on a no-make-up night or day once or twice a week.
