I mentioned about two weeks ago about the biggest GWP upon purchase over USD 1500 offered by La Prairie. The gift finally arrived at my door from their head office in New York, so I thought I would share what's inside with you in case you are interested in getting La Prairie products during their GWP event.
The gift was delivered via Fedex, but I was actually a bit disappointed during the waiting period with the fact that La Prairie didn't follow up with delivery updates. Indeed, I was quite frustrated without knowing when they shipped or even when they will be arriving to my door O_O. Regardless, it's here, and I'm quite happy with the selection overall.
Just like Michelle told me, it came with a letter, which is quite nice, but I've received better letters from other luxury skin care brands in the past, so I would say it was just an okay-ish letter.
There was one thing that really bothered me though. The signature at the end was clearly just copied and pasted. I understand the fact that it can't be done by hand, however, I know that they could've done it better without leaving any cheap looking trace. I could even see that the signature was in fact enlarged, so you could see the pixels. My goodness, it annoyed me. I may sound a bit weird and fussy, but if you spend lots of money to the company annually and considering however long I've been a religious client, they should deliver better service even in little details, no?
The beauty case does seem to have some good usage when travelling as it also has a small magnetic pouch inside which can be detached. But the material of the case feels quite cheap and carboardy, so I don't feel that it will last long. The zipper doesn't work well either. It's very hard to open and to close it back up -_-. Other than that, it's a very good size to carry for travelling.
I chose Platinum Rare collection, so all came in double quantity. And there were other additional skin care samples including Foam Cleanser, Cellular Refining Lotion, Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil, Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask and their newly released Cellular Swiss UV Protection Veil Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50.
As for body and hair care, they included a soap, a shampoo, a conditioner, a shower gel and a body lotion like how they've been doing for the years... It's quite nice to have them, but honestly, instead of giving away body/hair products that they don't sell, I think that they should just put what they actually sell at the counter including Cellular Energizing range, Skin Caviar Luxe Body Cream and Cellular Hand Cream. Well, they've always been this way, so I guess they have no intention of improving it -_-. Regardless, I still find them great products, so no complaints about the quality :3. Indeed, the kit basically covered most of the things that you need for holidays, and it somehow makes summer feel even more like summer! <3
