As expected from all other Chantecaille skincare products, Bio Lifting Serum is also beautifully scented with a hint of rose hue coming through. The scent is definitely on the subtle side compared to some of the other luxury skincare brands, yet it keeps skincare rituals quite invigorating and relaxing simultaneously.
Chantecaille Bio Lifting Serum+ is one of the rose scented products that doesn't make me feel sick or give any sensitivity, which is indeed great news as I haven't been able to properly enjoy rose scented products as much as I love rose flowers in my life due to the wrong formulations. Regardless, Chantecaille Bio Lifting Serum has been working well without giving my skin any irritations for years. Having said that, I still suggest you to do a patch test first if your skin tends to be sensitive as the serum is still quite high in phenoxyethanol.
Apply twice a day, right before the moisturizer of your choice. Put two to three drops of Bio Lifting Serum to your fingertips and starting around the eye area gently press into the entire face until product is fully absorbed by the skin. Ideal for both day and night. Excellent for all skin types.

Consistency
Unlike the dominant tendency in firming/lifting skincare, Chantecaille Bio Lifting Serum has a pleansantly lightweight texture that many people with different skin types and even those living in hot and humid climate would delightedly enjoy.
Although it's runny, there's an abundance of hydration to a certain extent that you can build it up depending on your skin's hydration level. Meaning, Chantecaille Bio Lifting Serum isn't one of those watery light serums that doesn't provide much hydration to skin, which isn't the best for those with dehydration issues after all.
Despite its buildable texture, the serum doesn't leave any tacky or oily residue, and it only leaves a smooth finish without any silicone feel to skin.
It provides a subtle glow, but I would say that it's also quite buildable since I've noticed that my skin was glowing more as I put more layers of the serum on.

Effectiveness / Tips
Unlike some of the lifting/firming serums on the market, I love the fact that Chantecaille Bio Lifting Serum is hydrating and the formulation doesn't conflict with other products from different brands so the serum doesn't peel off. It also has better skin penetration, so it doesn't feel like it's simply lingering on the surface.
Chantecaille Bio Lifting Serum is certainly oily combination skin friendly due to its lightweight texture. If your skin is more on the oily side, your skin will feel fine enough by using the serum by itself. If your skin needs a little more moisturisation, then you could add a drop or two of lightweight face oil, which you can customise accordingly to your skin needs.
In terms of lifting, I personally didn't experience much of a lifting effect including instant firming sensation and de-puffying skin. Having said that, it does a great job keeping skin texture smooth and more even, and I've noticed that it helps with skin balancing that prevents from any unwanted wrinkles appearing. It just seems to keep skin in a good condition even those times when I'm on my cycle where my skin and my mood can go up and down very easily. If your main focus is lifting and firming, you could increase the efficacy by pairing it with Nuface Trinity Facial Toning Device as I've experienced better results with it. I would also recommend you complement the regime with their Bio Lifting Cream + or Bio Lifting Oil Free Fluid + for warmer seasons (or for oily/combination skin), and Nano Gold Energizing Cream for colder seasons (or for dry/mature skin) for enhanced results.
