Guerlain Review > Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion (Gel toner)

Published by Jasmine Seo

Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion has been long loved by my family, and there were times when I used to use the toner as my all-in-one prepping step before applying make-up back in college. If you are looking for a hydrating and nourishing toner, Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion is a good one to check out.

Benefits

Honey Nectar Lotion, the first Guerlain active lotion born from the exceptional revitalizing power of bee products* and designed to enhance the effectiveness of the Abeille Royale beauty ritual. Like a true honey nectar, it infuses the skin with essential nutrients*. The skin is instantly soothed and hydrated, and optimal skin condition is restored. The skin appears firmer, smoother and radiates a youthful glow, as though boosted from within.

Verdict

Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion has a bit more density than the majority of watery toners on the market. I personally like to use a cotton pad to wipe it off, but my mum with dry mature skin prefers to use fingertips with a tapping motion. Even just by using the toner only, skin already feels quite hydrated and gives a beautiful glow.

When I used to live in a hot and humid climate back in Australia, I would use a cotton pad for the toner, then pump a bit more on to my palms, then add one more layer. As I had more oily combination skin back then, Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion by itself gave sufficient hydration along with a great canvas for glow make-up.

It also has a delicious sweet scent, which I personally find quite invigorating. Having said that, it's high in phenoxyethanol and other scent related allergens, so I would recommend a patch test before buying a full size if you have any sensitivity around scents. Nevertheless, Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion seems to enhance the efficacy of any anti-aging and hydrating skin care products that you follow with, and it also helps with getting glow back to skin. Considering its versatility as both a boosting lotion and toner in one and the overall result that you get, I think that Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Nectar Lotion deserves some more spotlight.
