La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Eye Serum has one of my favourite scents that the company offers in their skincare ranges, which has a light floral hue without smelling too artificial or fragranced.

The eye serum is in a refreshing lightweight watery gel texture without any oily or sticky residue. Just like other White Caviar products, there's no heaviness to the eye essence as it spreads smooth and penetrates into skin fast so you won't need to wait long for the essence to get absorbed.

You will need a very small amount just like their Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex eye serum, which a 15mL bottle will last long. There are also very tiny fine illuminating particles in the serum that just give a hint of subtle vibrancy to the under eye area when fully absorbed.

Verdict

Over the past a decade or so, I've always thought and still think that finding the right eye care product is such a time and money consuming journey as it's difficult to get the results that we all want through over-the-counter topical skincare products without any help from medical devices. And it gets even more tricky when the concerns involve under eye darkness and puffiness as it's often related to our lifestyle, diet, health or even our genes.

I'm a very genetically lucky case as my family doesn't really struggle with puffiness and dark circles even when looking at my grandmother's skin, but I still get puffiness around the eyes due to poor blood circulation and my guilty pleasure noodles. Dark circles become an issue to me when I work in front of computer too long or have inconsistent sleep patterns from stress or when I'm near my cycle. I used to use and needed La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Eye Serum a lot more often than now when I was back in university as there were frequent nights staying awake doing assignments under massive stress. Although I want to deny the years of outcome that I got from the eye essence mainly because of its high price tag, White Caviar Illuminating Eye Serum indeed saved my eye area and extended the youthful look of it.
