Even though my mother's a massive fan of La Prairie's Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream and Cellular Eye Cream Platinum Rare, my favourites have always been their Cellular Eye Contour Cream and Cellular Radiance Eye Cream which I will be talking about today :). Of course, if your eye area's very sensitive like my sister and my man, then you will need to test at the counter beforehand to see if you get any reactions.
Hydrating power and the consistency of Cellular Radiance Eye Cream is just right in the middle of their Cellular Eye Contour Cream and Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream when applied.
Where Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream rather feels quite creamy and rich, Cellular Radiance Eye Cream feels more dense and thick.
Youthful skin is radiant, glowing, alive with inner luminosity, but the years have a tendency to dim the glow. To emulate the luminous moist buoyancy of young skin, La Prairie created a revitalising and perfecting collection that supports the inherent reflective properties of younger-looking skin.
Using a brilliant application of light-restorative technology and rare, golden ingredients, La Prairie scientists have developed a way to give your skin an instant perfecting glow, lasting radiance and youthfulness. The formulas are designed to support mature skin experiencing loss of glow which stems from changes in the skin that occur with ageing. Restorative plants replace vital elements while minerals support deep hydration and encourage more youthful skin functioning.
Cellular Radiance products contain golden reflective pigments as well as La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex to revitalise and perfect the skin’s appearance to a youthful, lustrous texture, tone and luminosity.
Cellular Radiance Eye Cream instantly quenches like their other eye creams and brightens around the eye area like their Cellular Eye Cream Platinum Rare. It doesn't instantly correct dark circles around the eye area, but it seems to help with dark circles night after night as you go through. To be honest, having dark circles is more to do with lifestyle although there are other several factors. Regardless, Cellular Radiance Eye Cream has been working well over the past 6+ years, although I tend to have monthly insomnia or even sleep problems.
Along with long lasting hydration, it also improves and prevents fine lines and wrinkles. It doesn't magically freeze the area and keep it wrinkle free based on experience from my family and myself, but it's certain that my eye area seems to get wrinkles in a nicer looking way. By the way, I don't have that many visible wrinkles around the area although I smile with my eyes every day :). I do admit that it's all thanks to La Prairie eye creams as they are the ones that I've used the most since my teens. I believe that if you have any wrinkle issues around eye area, I highly recommend you try it out unless you have a very sensitive eye area like my sister. Of course, it will have a limit to improve your look since it’s neither botox nor a filler, but it does seem to keep unwanted lines at bay to a certain degree.
Caution / Tips
You only need a very small amount, and it will last long to get you through, which isn’t actually too bad economically. Cellular Radiance Eye Cream is such a dense heavy eye cream that it will work wonderfully especially on dry mature skin types and throughout cold/dry seasons. Having said that, it can also migrate into the eyes and irritate the area if you don’t control the amount that you apply. For that reason, I highly recommend you not to put it close to the eye lashes and use sparingly.
If you decide to use it during the day though, you will need to carefully choose the texture of make-up products that you put on around the eye area. If you rub or dab either concealer or foundation a bit too much, then it can get cakey and peel off. Because of that, I would avoid dry textured concealers and complexion products and use a brush with a few gentle sweeping motion just to minimise the hassle. And if you are someone who values eye make-up longevity the most, then Cellular Radiance Eye Cream might not be the best for you as it doesn't hold eye make-up very well.
