Last weekend, my man and I went to Bellevue Square to get our La Prairie facial done and also to pre-order some goodies for the GWP. By the way, if you are a Nordstrom Card Holder and interested in trying some products from La Prairie, I think it's just a perfect time to contact your nearby counter. Anyways, if you have a Nordstrom card, then there will be 10 points nights starting from late this month to the mid December. And for La Prairie, there will be special GWP depending on how much you spend, but you will need to call the counter and ask about it. For example, if you spend over USD 1000, then you will get a Platinum Rare GWP, but it will be only on one day in early December for Bellevue Square's case.
My skin always feels fabulous after a Platinum Rare facial XD. Everyone was complementing my skin on the floor after the facial, but hey, that's the Platinum Rare trick ;).
While my man was getting his facial done after mine, Michelle did make-up for me :). She used Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Transforming Cream SPF 30 (full review) and a bit of Cellular Treatment Loose Powder on me as for the base.
Update on the new Illuminating Mask
We also talked about their new Illuminating Mask. Apparently, it turned out that it's the Swiss Cellular White Intensive Illuminating Mask (full review) that I've been using for the past 5 years or so, not White Caviar. As I mentioned in my previous post after the La Prairie VIP dinner event, even the national executive trainer thought that they were getting the White Caviar Illuminating Mask XD. Well, I guess it's understandable as they don't have a Swiss Cellular White range in the States other than their newly launched Swiss Cellular White Intensive Illuminating Mask. I have no idea why it took 5+ years for the company to get those masks to the states where Asia already had the mask on the market XD. Regardless, I already have lots of them in my stash since my mother recently bought and brought the masks for me from Korea. So I didn't need to get more of the same masks. Instead, I reserved a Platinum Rare GWP for the event :).
Oh, my man was waiting for me after his facial while I was still chatting and getting my make-up done with Michelle. And look what I found! It's my mirror! :D
It's funny to see my mirror at the counter because my man also got the Simplehuman 8" Lighted Sensor Makeup Mirror for me in November last year XD. Apparently everyone doesn't like the mirror at the counter because the mirror doesn't lie :P LOL. That's very true, I don't recommend you to look into the mirror especially when your monthly is near regardless of how much you like it :3. It has a built-in sensor that lights up and switches off automatically. It's wireless so you need to charge the battery like your mobile phone or laptop. After about a year now since I started using it, I'd say that one charge normally lasts for about a week.
It also magnifies 5 times, meaning you will see every flaw on your face including wrinkles, spots, pores, uneven foundation...etc. It has been very convenient for me especially during summer and season after season, because I can check my skin on a daily and seasonal basis. And if you are one of those people who have trouble putting an eyeliner on, the mirror actually helps as you can see how you do. It has been very convenient for me personally especially when I need to squeeze some ready to be popped out pimples >_<. Haha, we all know that it's a very delicate procedure :P.
I highly recommend the Simplehuman 8" Lighted Sensor Makeup Mirror whether it's for yourself or as a gift for someone special :). It's well worth it and I think that it might be the best mirror on the market :D.
