AmorePacific Review > Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence (Hydrating eye serum)

Published by Jasmine Seo

AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence is one of few eye serum that I've been using regularly over the past years, and if you are looking for an all year round eye serum whether it's to be used under eye cream or not, I think that AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence is worth checking out😊.

Scent & Consistency

AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence has a floral hue to its scent, but it's not major unless you put it very close to your eyelashes, which we don't want to do with any eye serums and creams anyway. Fragrance is on the bottom of the ingredient list, and I haven't experienced any eye related irritation so far, which is good.

It's lightweight gel textured, and goes on smooth with or without the attached applicator. AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence relieves any dehydration upon application, and the eye area looks somewhat plumped.

Benefits

This targeted eye treatment is an essential first step of your antiaging eye regimen, delivering instant brightening, lifting, and de-puffing effects. It can also be applied throughout the day to revive tired eyes. Water hyacinth extract and caffeine help reduce puffiness while caffeine further works to brighten the under-eye area. Green T-Ferment™, a breakthrough illuminating ingredient made from fermented green tea, provides antioxidant-powered brightening over time, and oat extract visibly firms and lifts while hydrating the skin. These superior ingredients are delivered via a soothing, cool-touch massage tip wand that lowers skin temperature for visible eye-opening results.

Key Ingredients

  • Hyacinth Extract: Helps purify harmful environmental aggressors to protect the delicate eye area.
  • Caffeine: Stimulates circulation for all over de-puffing, brightening, and diminishing the look of dark circles.
  • Oat Extract: Visibly firms and provides a lifted appearance while hydrating skin. It also creates a protective barrier around the eye area most prone to sagging.
  • Bright T-Ferment™: Provides antioxidant-powered brightening over time.

Application

Using straight strokes, apply mild pressure to massage from the outer corner of your eye working inward with the metal applicator. Massage in a circular motion, gradually widening the circle over the tops of your cheekbones to enhance circulation.

Verdict

I love the applicator that's attached to AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence, and I highly suggest you not to throw it away after using up the eye serum. You can re-use it to apply other eye care products, and sometimes, I would give myself a short massage around the eye area with a bit of Kahina Giving Beauty Prickly Pear Seed Oil. You can also keep the applicator in the fridge if you want a more intense cooling sensation.

I always find that you can easily build hydration with AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence. Two thin layers of eye essence is good enough for my eye area during cold Winter although I mostly use just a thin layer underneath my eye cream.

I usually use a half pump to cover the eye area (2 thin layers), but if you accidentally press the applicator all the way in (ie. the full amount), which happened to me frequently in the beginning until I got used to it, don't panic. You can apply the rest around your forehead, in between eyebrows as well as smile and lip lines where we tend to get wrinkles easily. In my case, I like to use around the area where I tend to get dry patches such as the side of my nose and lips.

With continuous usage, I've noticed that it helps with puffiness and re-texturising around the eye area, but not that much with chronic dark circles. Though, I felt that it somewhat prevents the dark circles from getting worse throughout the day, which works fine for me. It also works well under eye make-up, which is an added bonus. Overall, AmorePacific Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence is a good long-term eye serum that you can pair with any eye creams that you currently use.
