As I've had a positive experience with Le Lift V-Flash Serum, I decided to try out Chanel's new launch to their Le Lift collection, Le Lift Skin Recovery Sleep Mask a few months ago. I've personally been happy with Le Lift Masque de Massage, but I was just curious to see if Le Lift Skin Recovery Sleep Mask may work better for my skincare regime.
Scent & Consistency
Le Lift Skin Recovery Sleep Mask carries the signature strong artificial floral scent from their Le Lift collection. If you are a first time Chanel skincare user, then you may find it overpowering, but the phenomena is common in the majority of Chanel skincare lines.
Unlike their original Le Lift Masque de Massage, Skin Recovery Sleep Mask has a dense gel cream texture. It feels more like a thickened version of their Le Lift V-Flash Serum. It's actually funny, because the sleep mask also has that alcohol kicking scent like their V-Flash. Perhaps, Chanel rushed to come up with the Sleep Mask as their V-Flash was well praised?
Not sure, but they give me a similar impression. Le Lift Skin Recovery Mask goes onto skin smooth, but there's a cooling sensation when in contact with skin because of the alcohol.
Once it's all set, I also feel some instant firming effect on my skin, but it isn't very visibly noticeable. The finish of it can be a little sticky, but skin will feel smooth once it's fully penentrated.
An overnight mask for face, neck and décolletage. The lightweight balm-in-gel texture absorbs quickly for complete comfort and ease of use. Skin looks rested and refreshed; wrinkles appear diminished by 10%; and the complexion is 10% more radiant.
Created with smoothing Silk Proteins and exclusive 3.5-DA**, an ultra-powerful and highly concentrated ingredient, the formula has the ability to adapt to each woman’s unique needs, firming, smoothing and restoring radiance to all skin types.

Effectiveness / Tips
Le Lift Skin Recovery Mask isn't great for sensitive/dry skin as it's very high in alcohol, fragrance and phenoxyethanol. It also contains artificial colourants, which also isn't best for those with sensitivity. Although it features peptides almost at the end of the ingredient list, you won't see much result out of them as they don't do much if the percentage is low. This explains why I didn't see much improvement along my smile lines and forehead area. However, the mask seem to work better for the lower part of the face as I've noticed that my jaw line seems to be more defined. And I personally found my face to be less puffy than usual upon wake-up. By the way, I've also been incorporating NuFACE Trinity Facial Toning Device before using the mask, so my skincare routine may have increased the overall efficacy of Chanel Le Lift Skin Recovery Sleep Mask.
I've even tried it during my cycle, and it surprisingly helped with reducing the puffiness around my face. For this occasion, I put the mask in a jar and stored it in the fridge, so it's nice and cool to apply on face. If you are someone who likes to give yourself a facial massage, you could still do that with the sleep mask, but it has to be the small one as it absorbs into skin fast. For this reason I've been using a lot more during the daytime than the nighttime mainly due to the texture. The smooth canvas that it creates also works great for make-up application.
As the weather has gotten a lot more cold and dry, I like to add a few drops of my argan oil for my normal skin. If you have dry skin or you like something that your fingers can glide on easily, then I'd rather suggest Chanel Le Lift Masque de Massage. Nevertheless, I prefer the tube packaging over the jar as it's lighter and I don't need to worry about accidently dropping it in my bathroom when my dogs are around. And it comes in 75mL, which is 25mL more than the majority of leave-on nighttime masks on the market. If you decide to get one, I also recommend you pair it with NuFACE Trinity Facial Toning Device and/or Le Lift V-Flash Serum for the best results :3. Best of luck!
