When it comes to Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine, there's nothing unusual about the scent as it's akin to the rest of their Sublimage collection as I've written about their products a lot already in my previous posts XD. Nevertheless, for those who are new to their collection, I can assure you that the scent isn't too artificial or strong at all compared to their other product lines. It smells more delicately sweet, meaning it isn't fragrance-free.
In fact, Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine isn't that fine at all compared to other 'fine' (light) textured moisturisers on the market. It's more in a dense gel-cream consistency.
Unlike its look, it spreads very smooth and finely without an oily feel. There's no overpowering cooling sensation or even alcohol smell compared to other Chanel's fine consistency moisturisers, which I love about it the most.
It penetrates into skin very fast and leaves skin satiny smooth upon touch. There's no obvious oily residue on the surface, but I would say that Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine is still on the rich side for those with oily skin types due to the nature of the Sublimage collection.
The exceptional next-generation cream enriched with the Éphémères of Planifolia: rare and powerful molecules that disappear almost as quickly as they appear during the fruit's ripening process. Ephemeral in nature yet eternal in the formula, these extraordinary molecules transmit their infinite revitalising power to the skin. Intensely revitalised, the skin regains its strength, radiance and perfection.
The next generation of SUBLIMAGE La Crème combines 12 actions to restore the skin's strength, vitality and perfection:
- vitality: ideally moisturised, comfortable and protected, the skin appears radiant and healthy.
- strength: the skin regains its tightness and elasticity, wrinkles are smoothed and the facial contour is firmed.
- perfection: dark spots are reduced, the skin texture is refined, the complexion is more even and the skin appears plumped.
The Éphémères of Planifolia are extracted at a precise moment during the fruit's growth, just before they disappear. They are captured and made eternal using Chrono-Extraction, a delicate process developed by CHANEL Research, perfectly adapted to the molecule's fragile state.
As I have dehydrated normal skin most of the time, I typically use Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine during the day before my sunscreen application based on my years of personal experience. Usually, my skincare routine doesn't get along very well with many gel-cream type products on the market mainly because of their common veil leaving formulation, which tends to cause very inconvenient peel off situations. Fortunately though, you don't need to worry about that with Chanel Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine. The formulation works well with both chemical and physical suncare products and different skincare/make-up products that you layer before and after using the moisturiser. And you know how much I care about religious sunscreen application! :3
Although Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine doesn't bring any noticeable firming or lifting results, I've seen my skin feeling less dehydrated even after applying physical sunblock. I also like to use the cream during my cycle, and it feels that it somewhat helps balance my skin. I'm not saying that it controls sebum production directly, but it prevents my skin from being dehydrated or drying out, which contributes to keeping breakouts at bay as a result. Having said that, when I accidentally put a bit too much on my face, I've found that I could get a little bump by the end of the day. So definitely try a small amount first, then gradually build it up depending on how your skin feels on the day or night. I never woke up with any uncomfortable tightness in my skin, so it works fine for me. I'd say that Chanel Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine will be particularly great for those who put sunscreen/make-up on frequently, and even for people seeking no peel-off moisturiser for their layering skincare regime.
