To tell you the truth, my mother who just turned 60 hasn't been very impressed with Chanel skincare products in general. I know, some may call her crazy, but I can see why she thinks in such a way as I also think that Chanel could've done better for their skincare products, despite always being in a leading position in terms of their extensive make-up range. As I've already mentioned before in my previous posts, Chanel has been actively expanding their skincare lines over the past years. Along with some new mask launches, Chanel brought out their new Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème, which gave me a high expectation initially as I've been enjoying their Sublimage L'Extrait oil serum.
Just like their Sublimage products, Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème has a beautiful sweet floral scent, which is no where near as overpowering as their other popular lines such as Le Lift and Hydra Beauty collections. The scent is certainly way more sophisticated and delicate and I haven't got any irritation from it.
Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème is surprisingly more lightweight than their Sublimage La Crème (Texture Suprême), yet it gives an impeccable glow to skin without making skin looking like an oil slick.
The cream also goes onto skin very smooth and soft without any tacky feel.
It penetrates into skin fast, and it goes well with other products so you won't need to worry about the product coming off.
A pure and powerful cream, SUBLIMAGE L’EXTRAIT DE CRÈME delivers the exceptional power of a treatment to revitalize, regenerate, restore and protect. Skin is 125%* more visibly nourished; radiance increases by 50%*; and skin looks 60%* plumper and 52%* smoother.

For the first time, CHANEL combines all forms of the signature SUBLIMAGE ingredient, the Vanilla Planifolia. The natural ingredients derived from the fruit and flower of the plant are blended with Noble Camellia, Jojoba and Canola oils into a lush, rich texture for an exquisitely sensorial experience.

I'm very intrigued how Chanel is trying to take their skincare line to a next level, and I can clearly see that they are seriously getting ready to compete with those high-tech luxury skincare brands. And I can tell you, the whole experience that Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème offers is a true delicacy. I'm thrilled how they put one's sophisticated skincare style into the cream. Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème is the reflection of the decadents and to me, personally it feels that this is a beautiful creation of skincare perfume without being overly scented. By all means, what I mean by perfume here as in a true decadent that reflects one's skincare style and how one sees him/herself. In other words, they didn't lose the essence of la maison de Chanel as a perfumery.
Some may simply try the cream, and may think differently than I. However, based on my very personal experiences from different luxury skincare brands and my passion for skincare, Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème isn't just a cream. I'm a true appreciator when it comes to skincare, and I can confidently tell you that Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème is one of the few best delicately textured products that can be appreciated by different skin types universally. I understand the fact that it isn't affordable at all, but if you are someone who likes to input a meaning and style into your skincare regime and take the skincare ritual as an extension of decadency, you would still like the cream in spite of the eye watering price tag.
Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème is very much delicately formulated that it moisturises and hydrates skin just right without being too heavy or rich despite the fact that the cream is the most prestigious moisturiser that Chanel offers. My skin glows as if I just got out of a spa treatment, and what I love the most about it is that I can use the cream all seasons except during the daytime when it's way too hot and humid.
It's buildable, so I suggest you to use it spairingly and gradually build it up. I wouldn't personally recommend the cream to oily / problem-prone skin, but normal to dry skin will enjoy the cream the most. It's nourishing and comforting that the majority of people won't need further products, but if your skin is extra dry, you could use their Sublimage L'Extrait oil serum underneath to give more longevity.
If serious dehydration is your concern, you could layer the cream over their Sublimage La Brume and/or Sublimage L'Essence for an extra skin regenerating boost along with hydration. Or, you could just put on Hydra Beauty Micro Serum which gives fool-proof hydration to skin. Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème won't fuction as an injectable replacement, but it will keep your skin feeling more resilient and looking healthier with a youthful glow, which is key to delay future signs of aging. Even during seasonal changes, I didn't get any sensitivity or imbalance after using the cream although it isn't meant to act as a skin balancer. What's even better is that my man didn't find the scent off-putting ;). If your skincare focus is in skin regeneration and maintenance alongside comforting skin, I suggest you to check out Chanel Sublimage L'Extrait de Crème as it has become my favourite moisturiser amongst Chanel's moisturiser catalog ❤.
