Sublimage La Brume is the newest addition to Chanel's premium Sublimage collection. Although there have been certain products that my skin couldn't get along with very well over the past few years, I have very much been enjoying their Sublimage range over the past 8+ years or so whenever my skin needs it. Their Sublimage mist launch was such an excitement for me personally as I've been feeling a little bored of using Sisley Floral Spray Mist for many years :3. On top of that, the Sisley one isn't very handbag friendly as it's too big to carry around, so I was very intrigued to try out Chanel Sublimage La Brume this Summer despite their eye watering price :3.
Scent & Consistency
It smells just like other products in the same range, which is sweet and also powdery. It doesn't come as too strong like some Chanel skincare, so it isn't too bad. However, it does contain fragrance, so if you are sensitive to artificial perfume, then you may want to avoid or try it out at the counter first before purchase.
The mist sprays fine and localised, so you can use it even in the plane without worrying about spraying to others. It's also long ranged, meaning if you feel more comfortable with short ranged facial mists, then you may not like the Sublimage La Brume as much.
A refreshing face mist that instantly comforts skin for a hydrated, rested, radiant look. With use of SUBLIMAGE LA BRUME, the complexion appears plumped and smooth, and is shielded from irritants such as pollution. The complexion is moisturized immediately and up to eight hours after a single application*. With continued use, radiance increases 49%**.
The signature SUBLIMAGE ingredient, Vanilla Planifolia, in the form of antioxidant Intense Vanilla Planifolia Water, helps skin adapt to environmental stress. Silk Tree Extract helps diminish the appearance of signs of fatigue such as puffiness and dark circles. Hyaluronic Acid deeply hydrates and smooths fine lines.
HOW TO APPLY
With eyes closed, spray onto face as the final step of your skincare ritual and then whenever you desire, before or after applying makeup.
*Instrumental evaluation on 20 women
**Clinical evaluation of 34 women after four weeks with application at least three times a day
You get four 18mL bottles in a set, which may sound very ridiculous to pay $200 + tax for a mist. However, I can see why some may want to actually spend such money on the mist. Throughout this Summer, I've noticed that my skin has been looking less dull and rather looking balanced without having severe dehydration issues ever since I incorporated Chanel Sublimage La Brume. I was very surprised that I've found a mist that actually shows a visible difference to my skin. Here, please don't get confused as I'm not talking about any corrective benefits in terms of wrinkles or pigmentation. The mist was seemingly helping my skincare routine.
Yes, I understand why the company claims it to be an intensive revitalizing mist as that's what it is. You can even use it in replacement of your regular toner, and it instantly brings hydration and a subtle healthy glow. Wow, the glow though... the mist successfully held me in front of my magnifying mirror just to enjoy my glowing skin, haha >_<. Having said that, it isn't as refreshing or cooling compared to other mists on the market. I personally prefer to spray generously, so I've used about 4 pumps at a time, which lasted me for few months to go through the set.
I also used Sublimage La Brume as an all-in-one skincare during hot/humid days and my monthly. I just sprayed generously onto my skin in replacement of my regular toner/serum/moisturiser, then just followed with my sunscreen. At least, I'm very glad that the mist wasn't a waste of my money as it turned out to be very versatile in my skincare routine during the season :). If you can afford it, I recommend you to try as it works great, but please don't force yourself as a mist by itself is already supplementary in a skincare routine, not mandatory :). Nevertheless, my experience with Chanel Sublimage La Brume was certainly positive!
