Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask has been very well loved by my family members, and it does bring some oomph to your skin in the long run. I know, I can be a little biased here as their entire Orchidée Impériale Exceptional Complete Care range are very much result-driven and has never disappointed my family once over the past a decade.
Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask smells coherent to their Orchidée Impériale Exceptional Complete Care line, which has a mature floral scent. Meaning, you will still need to see if the mask is compatible with your skin if you have any sensitivity towards artificial fragrance.

The texture of the mask is very dense for its creamy consistency, and it reminds me of Chanel Sublimage Masque whenever I use the Guerlain one as the way it goes onto skin feels quite similar.
Having said that, Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask goes on more smooth and thinner than the Chanel one.
The finish is a little different too since Guerlain's gives a better firming sensation with less sticky and oily residue, which makes it feel less heavy than the Chanel one.
Nevertheless, the result of Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask is a supple skin with dewy glow, that feels firmer as well to a certain degree.
The Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask, the ultimate energy bath for the skin.
Combining the outstanding performance of Orchidée Impériale and sensory expertise of the Guerlain Institute, the Mask envelops the skin in a moment of pure indulgence. Concentrated over a short and intense period, all the power of Gold Orchid Technology is passed from cell to cell to replenish the skin’s energy and vitality to the full*. At the same time, a soy protein extract with highly firming properties helps to create an instant lifting effect* and a mango seed butter offers a perfect balance between nutrition and hydration. Deeply nourished and energised, the skin regains its natural strength, tone and radiance.

How to Use
Gently slide the brush over the product to obtain the required amount. Apply a thin layer, moving from the centre to the outer part of the face. For a unique pampering experience, place the mask on cleansed skin and leave it on for 10 minutes, ideally once or twice a week as part of your night care routine, or as an «instant radiance» treatment.
Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask may not be ideal if you are considering it as a massage cream. You could give yourself a quick mini massage for a minute or two, but you might need to mix a drop or two of face oil to the mask for a longer massage. In that sense, I would say that Chanel Sublimage Masque will work better for you if you are more of a massage person or have very dry skin as the Chanel one has a more rich feel to it.
Regardless, Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask seems to bring the best results when it's used together with Orchidée Impériale Longevity Concentrate or Orchidée Impériale White The Age-Defying & Brightening Serum from the same range for the heightened efficacy. The outcome is pretty similar, but I personally like to use the brightening one for warmer seasons and the longevity one for when the weather is drier.
Upon wake-up, skin feels and looks firmer and velvety soft and smooth to the touch. Although it doesn't mentioned on the package, I think that Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask has skin detoxifying benefits too as my skin feels more clear in the following morning after the mask application. I've also noticed that the mask seems to tackle skin dullness when I paired it with Orchidée Impériale White The Age-Defying & Brightening Serum as my skin looks visibly more well-rested and alive. The mask also helps with skin regeneration, which heals pimple marks and prevents unwanted discolouration.
I've been enjoying Guerlain Orchidée Impériale Mask many years now for its compatibility with other products and its timeless effectiveness, but I still wouldn't recommend the mask if your skin is on a rather problem-prone/oily/combination side due to its dense texture, and it could clog pores. For those with mature/dry skin, if you have been going through hormonal aging though, I've witnessed that the mask has been working very well on my grandmother's and my mother's menopausal skin, so I would suggest you to check it out :).
