La Prairie has been actively expanding their most well-known Skin Caviar collection consistently over the past few years. Indeed, I think that this is a very safe investment as all other launches in the Skin Caviar collection seem to have been way more successful compared to other products by far.

I absolutely love their choice for the name of the new cream, Skin Caviar Absolute Filler as it's incorporating one of the most popular in-office procedures, I see it as a great hook-up name😋. No offense, but come on, over-the-counter products can't exactly work the same as the regular hyaluronic acid based fillers as an example. So before starting my review, please note that it doesn't bring the same effect to skin like the filler treatment that you get at the dermatologist's, so please don't get confused because of the name as there's a clear difference between injecting and applying. Nevertheless, I have high hopes mainly due to the name alongside the reputation of their Skin Caviar collection in general. Let's begin!😁
Scent & Consistency
There's certainly a coherence in the scent like other products from the same collection, but I would say that the new Skin Caviar Absolute Filler smells relatively subtle compared to their original Skin Caviar Luxe Cream. There's no overpowering perfume scent, so most of you will get along without any particular complaints.
The texture of the cream is rather creamy without any emulsified petrolatum thickness. It has a very luxurious feel to it, its consistency is more akin to a buttery cream. Note that it's not a generic cream texture as it's still richer than other creams on the market. It spreads beautifully and it doesn't feel that heavy at all considering the fact that it contains different kinds of oils including caviar oil.
There's no discomfortable oily feel to skin. It absorbs neat yet provides instant suppleness and glow to skin.
It also works great under make-up, and it hasn't caused any breakouts to my normal dehydrated skin even during my cycle.
Benefits
Infused with potent Caviar Absolute, this innovative addition to the Skin Caviar collection targets the loss of volume and substance in the skin. It restores tone and density for enhanced skin fullness and refined contours. The skin is imbued with the harmony of youth.
Immerse yourself in the Skin Caviar lifting and firming ritual by starting with Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion, followed by Skin Caviar Liquid Lift and Skin Caviar Eye Lift Cream. Complete with Skin Caviar Absolute Filler.
Verdict
I must say that I do love the packaging of the Skin Caviar Absolute Filler! I really hope that the company will make a positive change like this to their other existing products one by one🙂. Anyway, I'm particularly surprised with the texture of the cream as it feels way too unusual for La Prairie products priced at over $500. It's not a negative change, but the creamy consistency will definitely work more universally on different skin types with different preferences. Having said that, it still has different kinds of oils including caviar oil and botanical ones, so I wouldn't recommend for those with oily/problem prone skin although it absorbs fast.
The cream has been working well on my skin for a few months now, but I can see that it won't do enough when the weather gets cold. If you have dry/mature skin, you might need to add a couple of drops of face oil as the cream isn't rich enough. Nevertheless, I must admit the fact that Skin Caviar Absolute Filler really brings that youthful glow back and my skin never looked glowy and well-rested upon wake-up even during my monthly. My skin felt velvety smooth upon touch and I could see that the overall condition of my skin seemed to have improved. If your skin normally loves oil, then you will get the benefits as my skin started to see some improvement in less than a week.
As I've mentioned earlier, if you are considering Skin Caviar Absolute Filler Cream as an alternative option to in-office filler injection, then, I may or may not recommend the cream depending on the condition of your skin and aging process. If your skin has just minor wrinkles and/or started seeing a bit more obvious aging in your skin in general, then the cream will work fine. However, if you have more progressed skin aging including deep lines and visible volume loss overall, and if you are willing to bring youth back whethe dramatically or subtly, the actual filler injection will be more effective in both cost and results. By the way, I'm not endorsing any company or procedures here, but I'm purely mentioning this due to the high price of the Skin Caviar Absolute Filler and their potentially controversial name Filler.
So I'm just giving a brief comparison for you that you can make a better decision according to your needs and expectations. The cream costs $590 + tax for 2 oz, whereas most of regular HA based fillers are priced in between $400 to $700 for 1 cc depending on the area you live in and the result can last in between 3-6 months depending on the injector, the areas treated etc. So if you have one specific area of your face that you want to correct, then the actual in-office treatment may work better for your needs although it's totally up to your decision. Again, I'm not here for the promotion or business, but I want to share my belief that sometimes we all need to think twice before spending big money, especially the purpose of the purchase and keep our options open for a better progress🙂.
