Since La Prairie launched Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion (full review) a few weeks ago, my man and I visited the La Praire counter yesterday to grab a couple of products including the new essence. Even better, they were also offering facials and triple points for Nordstrom card holders. So I had already booked facials for my man and myself earlier this month with Michelle and Jaye. Since I was getting my facial done, I kept my morning skin care very minimal and just finished my skin with new Sisley Super Soin Solaire Youth Protector SPF 50 (full review) and Dior Capture Totale Dream Skin Perfect Skin Cushion SPF 50 (full review)
Anyways, we left home earlier than usual on the day as we wanted to get some biscuits for La Prairie counter and Jaye. I know, some might think that this is totally unnecessary as we are the people who pay for the service and goods, but I've always seen my mother since I was little that showing gratitude and appreciation is a nice thing to do as long as you truly feel so. People at La Prairie counter are simply helpful and kind, but Michelle (counter manager) and Jaye has been exceptional to us even when my mother visited there :). And last spring, when there was a beauty event, I saw Michelle and Jaye crazy busy that they couldn't even find time to have lunch! :/ I really felt bad about it, so this time, we got some biscuits for them. And because Jaye normally stays in the facial room, we also got a little one just for her separately. My family's their client and they are my people too, right? :) So why not ^_^/.
So we arrived at the counter, and surprisingly Kim came up to Washington from California! Well, she was in a La Prairie uniform, so I thought that was very unusual for her to be in that as she only comes here once every a few months or so. Regardless, I was looking for Michelle and Jaye as usual, but I got to hear about the sad news! :(. Apparently Jaye left La Prairie to SK-II as the schedule didn't work out well with them. Anyways, she's now a full timer at the SK-II counter, which is just right in front of La Prairie, so it actually isn't too bad if we think in that way XD.
Now that made a sense why Kim was in the uniform :). Naturally, Kim did my facial, and my man got his from the new facialist, I think she was called Dodi? I'm not certain how to spell:/.
Oh my, Kim and I chatted so much that my man told us that he heard all the conversation :P. Haha yes, that was such a great time to get to know about Kim more! :). And she gave me such a heavenly massage >_<.
My morning puffiness on my face went down significantly, and I felt very relaxed afterwards :3. Thank you, Kim <3.
Then, my man and I both came down to the counter as usual, and he went to Starbucks to grab a coffee while I was getting my makeup done with Roxanne. Michelle was supposed to do it for me, but she was still busy then, so Roxanne took over. It didn't really matter much as Roxanne already knows that I like a minimal makeup look, so she did a natural look on me, using Cellular Swiss UV Protection Veil Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (full review) and Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Transforming Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in Nude, which I used a lot in summer. Trust me, she's very sweet and beautiful!
My man and I - Glowing skin after facials
During the makeup, Richard from Diptyque came over and gave me a sample of their new limited edition. He's such a sweet fashionable person :). He actually looks very french from his look. Anyways, he quite often stops by at the counter and gives me handful of samples to try out, which is very kind. Perhaps he knows the fact that I don't like to spend time so much at the counter just to test the fragrance XD. I personally like to take time and make a decision when it comes to fragrance :P.
While I was enjoying the scent, Michelle finally managed to have some time with me. My goodness, she was non-stop working :O. Anyways, she told me about Jay and Jay also came over and we were all united like before! :D Haha. I didn't know, but their birthdays were all on this month! :O What a coincidence! It's good that at least I got some biscuits for them :3. Oh, apparently, they are getting White Caviar Mask and White Caviar Conditioning Lotion next month. I wonder if the mask is similar to their Asia exclusive Cellular White Illuminating Sheet Masks (full review). Needless to say, I'm getting the mask :D. And some more news; they are holding a lunch event with 10 VIP clients and La Prairie national trainer in a few weeks. Michelle was confirming that I was coming, which is very sweet of her reserving my seat <3.
Her kindness didn't stop there, she also held the last bottle of their new Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion (full review) for me as she knew that I was getting it. Aww I was very touched <3. I would've been very upset if it was all sold out >_<. I also purchased Cellular Eye Essence Platinum Rare as I think I'm kind of running low on it. Yes, my mother well used my eye essence while she was staying here with us :P.
Here are some of the GWP that I received from Michelle! <3
Surprisingly, Jaye also gave me some of the SK-II samples that I could try out :O. Thank you, Jay! <3
After the fun pampering session, my man and I visited the Lancome counter to get some gifts for my best friend's wedding and a box of Absolue L'Estrait Ultimate Eye Patches for myself :). I got the Genifique set for the bride and their new Energie de Vie for the groom!.
And more GWP and more Nordstrom pouches.
I've never been a massive fan of what Nordstrom normally gives away as they mostly have been bags that you don't normally get to use. But this time, it seems pretty interesting as it was more practical than usual. You can actually hold brushes in it. The stitches are quite messily done to be honest, but I think that it can still be a good use when travelling.
Anyways, I'm really looking forward to next month as there will be a new White Caviar mask and VIP lunch with other people :). Regardless of the type of the food, I'm actually very curious about those people and the national trainer too!
