Dermarche Labs just brought out an upgraded version of their hit Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Mask which I reviewed previously. The new Roloxin® LIFT Gold Mask is still silica based, but contains anti-aging plant oils along with colloidal 24K gold. Although my question on their technology still stays the same, I decided to try the fancier version. Most importantly, I believe that precious metals like gold helps beneficial ingredients penetrate into skin better, so I had a good excuse this time :P.
Application & Consistency
The way you use the mask is exactly the same as their Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Mask, which I explained it in detail in the previous post. You still use it on clean damp skin after activating the packet with warmth. The most fascinating part is that initially it looks just like a bling bling version of their original Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Mask. You can clearly see gold particles, which is I think very pretty :3.
You might think, 'that's it for $11+ for one packet?!', but the surprise continues once you start spreading!
It seems that water helps disperse the gold spread evenly and better. Actually, the colour turns into gold too! You will totally look as if you put gold paint on your face XD. It's indeed a very pleasant experience along with the intense lifting and firming sensation. Another fun part is that you can freak people out such as my man :P.
Once it's fully dried, it just becomes white and powdery like the other mask.
The only downside during the application is that gold can transfer to whatever you touch, so make sure you wash your finger(s) or at least don't touch anything after application. Yes, you can turn whatever you touch into gold :P.
After rinsing off with water, you will find your complexion looking more awake and glowy. Yes, that glow... My skin looks and feels more smooth. The firming and lifting effect feels similar to their original mask, but the gold one seems to give more instant complexion enhancing results although there's no 24K gold leftover on skin :(.

Verdict
Again, it's a shame that the company doesn't seem to take much effort at all to explain how their technology works in the mask in detail. I still haven't got my answer from the company in regards to the technology that they use, which I asked about 7 months ago. Judging from how they deal with customer service, I cannot deny that the company still hasn't gained my trust. Simultaneously, I would like to praise their masks for being one of a few wash-off masks on the market that delivers a pretty good firming sensation. It's indeed quite expensive for frequent usage, but I think that Roloxin® LIFT Gold Mask might work better in the long run as it has better skin rejuvenating ingredients. I also highly recommend you to pair it with firming/lifting products for better efficacy and longevity of the lifting effect.
