SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex has their unique aged smell, which I don't mind, but some might find it a bit off-putting in the beginning especially if you are used to floral and herbal scents that are very common in the current beauty market. Having said that, it's not fragrance-free, and contains other fragrance related allergens, so it might not be ideal if your skin is sensitive towards scents.
Regardless, I haven't experienced any fragrance related allergic reaction like a runny nose or headache, so the scent wasn't a big problem in my case. At least, the smell doesn't linger on skin after application, so you won't need to worry about whether your partner might notice it or not.
Consistency
SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex comes in a dense gel without any oily feel to it. It doesn't feel heavy, but there's some sticky residue upon application.
However, it dissipates quick once it's fully absorbed. It penetrates into skin fast, and leaves skin hydrated with a subtle glow.
I usually need about 2 full pumps to cover my entire face, neck and decollete. I apply swiftly, using lifting/upwards strokes with my fingers. It's not major, but there's a pleasant firming/lifting sensation upon application.

Verdict
SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex is one of the serums that doesn't break my skin out before and during my cycle when my skin tends to be sensitised easily. There isn't much hydration that your skin gets from SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex, so it's not something that you would use as a hydrating treatment. Rather, SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex seems to focus on skin recovery and repair, hence its name, which explains why I didn't have any sore skin during my visit to Australia last year. For that reason, it has been added to my post-gardening skincare routine😊.
Thanks to its light gel texture, it's something that you can use even in hot and humid climate without worrying about excessive sebum production. Although SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex doesn't provide intense hydration, it keeps skin smooth and soft, and works well with a firming/lifting skincare regime. Whether you are on a hydration focused skincare regime or anti-aging routine, SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex is a good booster to increase overall efficacy in the long run.
