Unlike myself, my sister loves and uses oil cleansers to take off daily make-up and pollution that you get from inside the office. I see why she loves using them as she puts more make-up than I do and she also does touch-up a few times a day. Nevertheless, I came across Chanel Sublimage Démaquillant Confort Suprême (Ultimate Skin Regeneration Essential Comfort Cleanser) a couple of years ago thanks to my sister, and it has become one of my go-to cleansers for face in colder seasons and seasonal changes! :3
Scent
As you are all well aware of it by now, Chanel Sublimage range has been in my life a long time, and I personally find the overall formulation of Sublimage products tend to be way better than other Chanel skincare lines. Having said that, fragrance is still present in the ingredient list, which ironically I find understandable as Chanel and perfume can't be detached considering the brand's heritage. At least for the Sublimage collection, the fragrance content is lower and more delicate than their other products, so it still works for my non-sensitive skin. The Sublimage cleanser has the same mild vanilla hue, which makes my cleansing routine quite therapeutic as I enjoy the scent.

HOW TO APPLY
Apply a small amount to a dry face in the morning and evening, then massage into skin using circular movements. Moisten the accompanying reusable cotton cloth with warm water and place over the face like a comforting mask. Gently press with hands held flat and then move hands in light circular movements. Rinse well. Wash the cloth as needed.*
- Care instructions: Wash the cloth with soapy water after each use. The cleanser itself can be used to remove any makeup stains. Machine wash warm when needed.
Consistency & Effectiveness
Chanel Ultimate Skin Regeneration Essential Comfort Cleanser comes out of the tube in a very dense thick gel.
Once you start massaging it in, the texture then changes (gel → gel-oil → oil) and it melts lip make-up, foundation and sunscreen first.
It takes a bit longer to take off the waterproof eyeliner and the mascara just with the cleanser, but once you wipe it off with the cloth, everything disappears like magic!
Skin feels clean, supple and comfortable after the final rinsing with water. You see now why my sister and I love it :3 Yay, sisterhood! ❤

Verdict
If you are someone who likes to give a bit of a facial massage while cleansing your face, Chanel Sublimage cleanser will work well as it gives a beautifully delicate oil canvas that your fingers can glide on. Having said that, the cloth that it comes with isn't that plush or soft, so you might want to stick to your own cleansing cloth if you are already happy with one.
The Chanel one is double layered and big, but that's it. And it says it's made in China, not France. I'm not against 'made in China' as it's very common in commercial goods these days, but I find it very contradicting and funny as the cleanser packaging clearly says MADE IN FRANCE, then made in China for the cloth that's inside. It just feels like Chanel is trying to save some money and being cheap, which makes me feel awkward as I pay huge money for the cleanser.
In addition to that, there were big cuts on the back of the box although the box itself was fully sealed in a plastic cover. Umm, so did I just get a product from a dollar store? No, I got it from a reliable department store =_=.
I'm not sure who did the final package checking in the facility, but I really hope that they won't make this kind of mistake again if it was a mistake. I paid for this box too, right? O_O Please understand me as a fellow customer who doesn't like inconsistency. Anyway, if you buy Chanel Ultimate Skin Regeneration Essential Comfort Cleanser as a gift, make sure you check the packaging even if it's sealed as you can tell from my experience. The cleanser works very well regardless :).
