The scent of La Prairie Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion is nothing unusual as it is a delicate slightly powdery floral scent just like their other Platinum Rare products. The scent by itself doesn't come as off-putting or cheap, but I still find it a bit on the mature side and those with sensitive skin may not like the scent as much.


Consistency

La Prairie Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion has a runny lightweight consistency, which surprised me as I initially expected it to be a bit more dense.


Nevertheless, it absorbs into skin very fast and leaves skin silky smooth with a very subtle minor light reflective glow as it contains tiny little illuminating particles.

There isn't much glow or instant quenching feel to skin, so most people will need to follow with further skin care steps unless one has very oily skin.

Verdict

La Prairie Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion comes with a magnetic closure cap just like their Platinum Rare Cellular Night Elixir, which I personally find it very convenient as I can ensure that the cap is air tightly closed.

Having said that, my factory sealed Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion had leaked inside the package when I first opened it, and you can still see the leaked parts through plastic layers..🤔 Trust me, I wasn't happy at all.


In terms of the overall results that you can expect from the lotion, I would say that it can really vary depending on what kind of products you use after the lotion application. It certainly seems to help with skin turnover cycle and works well with my other anti-aging skincare products.

However, I have been already using enough products that I haven't experienced that OMG Wow effect even after replacing them with La Prairie Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion. I personally find their Platinum Rare Cellular Night Elixir to be more effective in terms of detoxification as you can really notice that through your eyes.

If they made Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion more hydrating like some of the other luxury skincare boosting lotions, then I may have given La Prairie more credit, but Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion feels to me that it's really just an accessory to my skincare regime. As you know, I value versitility when it comes to skincare products, and there isn't much room for more praise to give to Platinum Rare Cellular Life-Lotion (115mL) from my side unfortunately. However, if you could afford and wish to try, then you may do so as it still works in terms of fast skin regeneration and detoxification, it's just that it isn't something rare nowadays that you can't find on the current boosting essence trend. If you are in the crossroad between their Cellular Serum Platinum Rare and the lotion, then I would rather suggest you to grab the serum instead 😊.
