Cellular Lightening City Screen SPF 30 is chemical sun filter based anti-pollution sunscreen, but it doesn't smell too much like a chemical sunscreen at all compared to some of the luxury skincare brands. It has more of the typical Swiss Perfection's sweet orange scent although there's a hint of chemical sunscreen that I can smell through. The scent is distinctive that I could even tell the Swiss Perfection one with my eyes closed. I appreciate the uniformity, but it's still quite fragranced to be used around the sensitive eye and lip area, so I suggest using a separate sun stick for those parts.
Consistency
As much as I like the scent, Swiss Perfection Cellular Lightening City Screen SPF 30 is one of my favourite sunscreen textures among other high-end brands. It's in a simple light emulsion consistency that doesn't feel overly rich or hydrating.
Although I've never noticed mattifying or oil-controlling benefits, it goes on light and absorbs into skin very fast. It spreads very well with a small amount that I always put on double layers to meet the recommended full sun protection.
The finish is silky, glowy and lightly hydrating without being overly sticky. There's no evening skin tone, but it still works fine under make-up as it isn't very greasy.

Effectiveness
The Swiss Perfection sunscreen will work well as long as you don't have any fragrance and chemical sun filter sensitivity. To be honest, the name Lightening is a bit misleading as I personally think that it doesn't brighten or correct dark spots and discolourations just by using it alone. However, I've seen pretty good improvement by incorporating La Prairie Cellular Power Charge Night into night time skincare routine. The best part is that it's very easy to re-apply throughout the day thanks to its relatively light consistency.
Although it doesn't provide higher UVB protection compared to other luxury skincare brands, I never got any sunburn even in the boiling hot summer, which is nice. For those with oilier skin, you could even skip putting on a moisturiser and use Cellular Lightening City Screen SPF 30 instead as it's subtly hydrating. However, I would recommend Chantecaille Ultra Protection Sunscreen if you need more soothing and deeply hydrating oil-free make-up base. Most importantly, the Chantecaille one is a third of the Swiss Perfection sunscreen price (CHF 260) :).
