Chanel Review > Sublimage Le Fluide (emulsion)

I used to use Chanel Sublimage Le Fluide more frequently back in Australia before moving to the States mainly due to the specific regional weather condition. I personally don't like much of a heavy alcohol feel to skin when it comes to moisturisers, so I've noticed in myself that I tend to go back to Chanel Sublimage Le Fluide amongst all their other moisturisers when I feel that I need a hydrating emulsion.

Scent & Consistency

Chanel Sublimage Le Fluide isn't fragrance free, and it carries their signature delicate floral scent in the line. The scent by itself doesn't linger long on skin once applied, so it has never been a problem for my skin over the past many years.

It doesn't have that runny consistency, but it still goes onto skin smooth and has  fast absorption.

Instantly, it hydrates and moisturises skin very well, and I personally enjoy its supple silky finish that it gives along with glow to skin.

Benefits

Empowered with ultra-pure natural ingredients, this smooth, lightweight and oil-free emulsion addresses fine lines, wrinkles, dullness and loss of firmness while refining skin with a customized matte finish.

Key ingredients

The revitalizing power of SUBLIMAGE LE FLUIDE stems from Planifolia PFA*, the active, anti-aging ingredient that addresses smoothness, firmness, evenness of tone, radiance and moisture. Zinc PRÉCISPHÈRES™, an exclusive and patented Chanel innovation, subtly mattifies the complexion where needed without diminishing its radiant glow.

*PFA: Polyfractioned Active. An ultra-pure, ultra-powerful ingredient created through exclusive patented Chanel technology.

Verdict

Thanks to its satiny finish, Chanel Sublimage Le Fluide works well under daily make-up as it adds a hint of glow and suppleness underneath. Though it is oil-free, I haven't noticed much oil control benefits, so I wouldn't recommend it as an alternative to a mattifying primer. Having said that, one full pump covers my entire face more than enough, and one layer gives enough comfort and hydration to my normal skin.

Although my skin is usually on the normal side, my skin does go through some imbalance during seasonal changes, so my skin then tends to become slightly oily around the T-zone and dehydrated around the cheeks and around the eyes. And the best part about Chanel Sublimage Le Fluide at least for me is that it's glycerin based instead of shea butter unlike their other Sublimage creams, so I can still use it without worrying about breakouts during my cycle and seasonal changes when my skin is more prone to sensitivity.

I would personally see Chanel Sublimage Le Fluide as an introductory to preventative anti-aging skincare, but if you would like a more advanced formulation, the new Chanel Sublimage L'Essence Fondamentale (Ultimate Redefining Concentrate) works wonderfully too.
