It's that time of knocking the door to the Autumn again, which always somewhat reminded me of what I should've done over sweet Summer :3. I've been in WA for the past 4 years, yet I still haven't learnt the lesson :S. Nevertheless, yes, Autumn is officially here as it has been raining this last week, and here I am, making a promise to myself to plan better for the next Summer and hoping that I won't be as busy >_<. At least it's not raining today, which lightens up my lack-of-sleep face today :3.
As usual, I woke up early in the morning and headed to Nordstrom at Bellevue Square to attend Fall Beauty Trend Show and pick up some stuff from the La Prairie counter. I booked a facial and after spa make-up with the counter manager Michelle, so I didn't want to spare so much time in front of my mirror to get prepared as it would get all wiped off in a couple of hours. Indeed, it was convincing enough for myself that I dedicated 30 more minutes for my beauty sleep instead, hehe :3.
My skin has been looking pretty good, so I wiped my face off with a cotton pad using La Prairie Cleansing Water, then splashed cool water to finish off. As I'm on my cycle at the moment, I kept my skincare routine very basic; two layers of CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion followed by Alba Botanica Acnedote deep clean astringent toner locally on the breakout-prone zones. Then, I used Chanel's new Les Beiges Gel Cushion Foundation SPF 15 and La Prairie Light Fantastic concealer to create a no make-up make-up look :).
I thought I arrived at Bellevue pretty early, but there were already lots of people filling out the seats. I would much preferred classical or new age music to the loud ones as it's still very early for usual Saturday (7:30 AM), but I don't think Nordstrom will ever put some calming music before the event as they seem to be doing this on purpose. Perhaps, they go for that after energy drink effect XD.

By the time I came down to the floor after the beauty trend show, the cosmetic area was already packed with people and everyone was busy getting their make-up done and or getting consultations. I went to the La Prairie counter to get my facial done after a bit of wandering around the floor checking new launches :D.
I've been feeling very exhausted as I've been overworking over the past few weeks, and hopefully I will look more awake after Platinum Rare facial :D. Glowing skin guaranteed, yep!

I definitely feel much better and my skin looks very rejuvenated as the esthetician always combines mini upper body massage. After the usual facial, I went back to the counter to see Michelle, so I could get my make-up done. Guess what, she transferred me to Mykal who is a Clé de Peau Beauté counter manager and he did full make-up on me, and I must add that I'm totally hooked up already! Meaning, I splurged myself a bit with their make-up products :).
Michelle indeed knows what I like and I totally love the look that Mykal created :). As soon as I was done with make-up, I also picked up my usual La Prairie Cellular Eye Essence Platinum Rare and their new Skin Caviar Absolute Filler cream for my mum since she was a massive fan of their anti-aging filler that the company discontinued a few years ago.
Although it may have been ouch for my wallet, Michelle's super pleasant to be around and we chat a lot whenever we see each other, haha. Indeed, focusing on myself once a while is one of the great ways to take a mini break from overworking and usual routine, hey ;P. I also got invited to the La Prairie VIP dinner for next month, so I'm already very much looking forward to meeting the national trainer and fellow La Prairie users :D. I had so much fun chatting with different people last year, so yes, I'm already quite excited! :)
