Sisley Review > Sisleyouth (vs Supremÿa at Night vs Ecological Compound)

Published by Jasmine Seo

If you have been hesitant to try anti-aging skincare products simply due to sensitivity towards active ingredients, then you are at the right place as I will be introducing a hidden gem from Sisley skincare which I think deserves more spotlight. Having been on a luxury skincare routine for over a decade, I personally think that one of the best features about Sisley skincare is indeed its versatility.

Sisleyouth

Even though Sisley Sisleyouth treatment serum was launched in 2014, I would still regard it to be relatively young compared to their other serums. Speaking of which, I personally find it very intriguing that the serum does seem to reflect its resemblance to some of their cult classic products including Supremÿa at Night, Ecological Compound and Moisturizer with Cucumber which I've used for many years.

Sisley Sisleyouth, Sisley Sisleÿa L'Integral Anti-Age Extra-Rich cream, Sisley Sisleya L’integral Anti-Age Firming Concentrated Serum, Sisley Sisleÿa L'Integral Anti-Age cream, Sisley Sisleÿa L'Integral Eye & Lip Contour Cream, Sisley Sisleÿa-Elixir, Sisley Botanical D-Tox, sisley skicnare, best intensive treatment, PMS skincare, hangover skincare, Sisley detox treatment, Sisley phyto blanc treatment, Sisley supremya baume, Sisley supremya at night, Sisley supremya la nuit, La Prairie cellular power infusion, La Mer firming mask, sisley black rose cream mask, Sisley black rose oil, Sisley black rose skin infusion cream, Sisley vs La Mer, Sisley vs La Prairie, luxury skincare blogger, best skincare blogger & La Prairie vs La Mer

Scent

The scent of Sisley Sisleyouth isn't anything new as it smells just like their other products; very soothing and fresh citrusy. It feels very therapeutic and revitalising that even just from the scent, your mind and soul will be energised without any over-excitement if that makes sense.

Consistency

The texture of Sisleyouth serum is similar to their most prestigious night treatment Supremÿa at Night, but I would say that Sisleyouth feels less dense and rich to skin as it's targeted for younger skin.

Sisley Sisleyouth, Sisley Sisleÿa L'Integral Anti-Age Extra-Rich cream, Sisley Sisleya L’integral Anti-Age Firming Concentrated Serum, Sisley Sisleÿa L'Integral Anti-Age cream, Sisley Sisleÿa L'Integral Eye & Lip Contour Cream, Sisley Sisleÿa-Elixir, Sisley Botanical D-Tox, sisley skicnare, best intensive treatment, PMS skincare, hangover skincare, Sisley detox treatment, Sisley phyto blanc treatment, Sisley supremya baume, Sisley supremya at night, Sisley supremya la nuit, La Prairie cellular power infusion, La Mer firming mask, sisley black rose cream mask, Sisley black rose oil, Sisley black rose skin infusion cream, Sisley vs La Mer, Sisley vs La Prairie, luxury skincare blogger, best skincare blogger & La Prairie vs La Mer

It's somewhere between their popular Ecological Compound and Moisturizer with Cucumber as it has a unique emulsion-like cream hybrid serum texture. Sisleyouth goes onto skin very smooth and soft with abundant hydrating and moisturising feel to skin. There's a temporary warming sensation during the process, which I enjoy as I like to give my skin a bit of light massage for better penetration.

Once the serum is applied, it sort of gives a similar velvety finish like their Moisturizer with Cucumber before its pleasant transition to a satiny neat finish without any oily or sticky residue. I wouldn't say that the final feel on the skin is matte, but rather supple and smooth.

Benefits

Sisleyouth is THE FIRST anti-aging treatment to use from the age of 25. It defends the skin's youth potential thanks to the Pea extract which is rich in peptides. It combats the first signs of aging as the Soy peptide extract helps to reduce the first wrinkles and improve the tone of the skin. It performs an energizing action via a powerful cocktail of active ingredients including Kiwi, Ginseng, Buckwheat seed and Ginkgo Biloba extracts which minimizes the harmful effects of oxidative stress and fatigue on the skin. Essential oils with stimulating properties provide a fresh, revitalizing fragrance. It moisturizes the skin intensely: to maintain moisture at an optimal level for 8 hours, a new natural extract derived from Wheat sugars encourages water to be retained in the stratum corneum. First wrinkles fade away and fine lines are smoothed. The skin is revitalized, more toned and all its energy is restored. A fresh and deliciously silky emulsion with a velvety matte finish. Non-comedogenic. * In-vitro tests on the ingredients.

Results

From the first application, skin is intensively hydrated and visibly energized. The complexion is fresher and brighter. After 4 weeks, the first wrinkles and signs of fatigue fade away. The skin is radiant, toned and full of vitality.

Application

Apply 1 or 2 pumps to clean, dry skin, morning and evening, to the face and neck and massage lightly.

Effectiveness/ Tips

Sisley Sisleyouth VS Sisley Supremÿa at Night

Personally, I would call Sisley Sisleyouth a baby version of their Supremÿa at Night not just because it has a similar texture but mostly due to its function to combat early signs of aging for people with younger skin. Basically, Sisleyouth is a youth potion to extend skin longevity but mainly for the first signs of aging. So the focus between their Supremÿa at Night and Sisleyouth is definitely different as they have different target groups, but the aim is essentially the same; maintaining healthy youthful looking skin as long as possible and preventing any unwanted unnatural signs of aging. They are both effective, but I personally found that Sisleyouth functions in a more simple way since it mainly deals with premature aging whereas Supremÿa at Night targets different dimensions of aging process.

Sisley Sisleyouth VS Sisley Ecological Compound

As they share a similar concept, I don't see why one with already well-maintained skin would not use Sisley Sisleyouth despite its targeted skin age group that the company set. Although Sisleyouth isn't advertised as a hydrating/soothing serum, it's certainly comparable to their famous Ecological Compound in terms of the instant moisturising power and also the general benefits to skin that you get overtime. They both soothe and quench skin from the initial application, but I would say that Sisleyouth has more anti-aging rejuvenating results. I've noticed that my skin has become noticeably well-balanced (ie. balanced hydration and moisturisation), comforted and nourished overall. The quality of skin has been improved as I've found that my skin feels more resilient and strengthened to some degree. The serum also seems to sort of plump those weird creases that I tend to get at the end of the day mostly when I'm very tired.

Verdict

In spite of company's claims, let's just forget about our actual physical age for a moment as skin is more prone to get influenced by different factors including our genes, environmental aggressors etc. Having said that, if you have been looking after skin well, meaning it could be anything including religious day and night skincare routine, visiting spas, facial massages etc. If you believe that you've been dedicated enough and/or have young (looking) skin as an outcome, then you can just maintain healthy youthful skin by using Sisley Sisleyouth. Even for those who visit dermatologists for in-office treatments including cosmetic procedures, you could use the treatment serum for in between visits as the majority of them that fall in the category wouldn't necessarily need anything powerfully anti-aging, but something that is more focused on the basic and could prolong the result of what they pay for the procedure.

Needless to say, I consider Sisley Sisleyouth as a step up version of what you get from Ecological Compound since it tackles more issues related to premature aging. It is indeed a great one for those with sensitive skin to try if they want something more anti-aging focused as I would say that Sisleyouth feels a lot more gentle than other anti-aging serums on the high tech luxury skincare market. The texture also makes it a great 2-in-1 (serum and moisturiser) treatment that you can use day and night alone or underneath make-up. Although I wouldn't personally recommend it for oily skin, those with combination skin will be fine enough using it just by itself, but if you need extra longevity in hydration, you could layer a face oil or just mix a drop into the serum before application. You could also use their Sisleÿa Essential Skin Care Lotion and/or Ecological Compound before putting Sisleyouth.

Nevertheless, if your skincare is all about prevention and maintanence, then I suggest you to pair Sisley Sisleyouth with their cult classic All Day All Year Essential Anti-Aging Day Care as they work well together in synergy.
