Yay, Thanksgiving and Black Friday's almost here! :D If you are in the States, I hope you get your turkey from the shop as soon as possible since I've noticed that the price tends to go up when it's near the date :/. And please be careful with giving turkey to your family dog as it can make them sick. Plus, spices and oils that we use on turkey won't really help our dogs :P. So if you can, get some chicken breast instead specially for your family dog ;).
Our November BarkBox has arrived right on time, and our Yuna and Yena couldn't be happier :P. Our alpha dog Yuna was patiently sitting and waiting until my man and I let her check the toys, but our Yena just couldn't help it :P. She just needed to check if it's the BarkBox :P.
So much excitement!
Before even reading the card, I could instantly notice that the theme for this month was all about upcoming Thanksgiving Day and turkey.
As for the treats, there were turkey jerky sticks, turkey liver biscuits and a beef knuckle bone. Yuna and Yena are massive fans of jerky, and we've been actually been making chicken jerky at home just for them :). Anyways, they simply loved the turkey jerky sticks. I've noticed that they are a bit chewy as I could tell from Yuna enjoying chewing. She does know how to enjoy all that yumminess :3.
And then the fun part, dog toys! Let me tell you, one of our Yuna's favourite sorts of toys is a ball and squeezable small fluffy toys for Yena :P. The Turkey football was naturally a hit!
Yena simply couldn't stop playing with it because of it's fluffiness and all the temptations from the little turkey legs. LOL. And Yuna was just busy dropping it at my feet to play soccer with me. Yes, I'm not a great kicker, but Yuna's the goal keeper >_<. It's very light and a perfect size for our medium/large dogs to play soccer and fetch together.
It doesn't damage any furniture as it's very soft, which is an added bonus! The only downside is though, it's made of plastic, so it doesn't recommend machine wash :/. Meaning, it could get messy pretty quick if your dog actually drool as the ball will get all slobber. Our Yena doesn't drool but Yuna does. So I have to take it away from them, and bring it out only when I play with them. It's a fragile plush toy, so you do need to supervise.
The apron has a few more squeakers than the turkey ball, which excites our babies very easily :P. It isn't very big, as you can see, it barely fits Yuna's head and it fits half way through Yena's neck XD.
You can play fetch with it, but I've been playing tug of war with them very mildly. It isn't very durable, so you need to be careful. It's made of plastic as well, so you may not be able to wash it in laundry machine. Regardless, they've been having fun with those toys so much that I'm not sure how long they will last :P. Let's hope that it will last at least a month or so. Fingers crossed!
