Chantecaille Gold Recovery Mask is a new addition to their Nano Gold Collection, and I had to try it out as I really like Chantecaille Nano Gold Energizing Face Cream along with my long loved their Detox Clay Mask with Rosemary and Honey and Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask.
Scent & Consistency
The mask smells neither too floral or herbal, which is very nice as there's only pleasantly calming hue without any overpowering essential oil scent.
The texture of Chantecaille Gold Recovery Mask is on a slightly dense balmy side of cream compared to their popular Nano Gold Energizing Face Cream. However, it spreads onto face beautifully without any chalky overly oily feel to skin.
A small amount goes a long way, and I've noticed that it requires only about a minute of quick facial massage for the mask to set, and there isn't much film forming on top of skin.
Chantecaille Gold Recovery Mask does give iridescent golden glow to skin that instantly makes my skin look luminous. Skin feels nurtured and supple upon application.

Application
Apply a generous layer two- three times a week on clean skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse. May be left on overnight for a fabulously smooth morning complexion.May be layered or blended with serums and face oils.
Verdict
Upon waking up in the morning, my skin feels velvety smooth to touch, and looks more toned and rejuvenated. Even on the days when my skin doesn't get enough beauty sleep, Chantecaille Gold Recovery Mask does some magic such that my skin looks more awake. I've noticed that it helps greatly with overnight skin regenerating process as hormonal spots seem to heal faster too. I would also add that it seems to bring some detox benefits too, and I found that the spots on my skin are soothed on the following morning after mask application. For the reason, I have been using the mask even more frequently since my skin is prone to sensitivity during seasonal changes.
My mother who is in her 60's also tried the mask, and she has been pleasantly impressed how it keeps her skin smooth. It doesn't feel that heavy compared to some of the other moisturisers from luxury skincare brands, so Chantecaille Gold Recovery Mask will work well for those who are going through hormonal aging such as menopause. Having said that, I wouldn't try to mix the mask with face oil as it doesn't seem to work very well. If you want to add a face massage into your skincare routine, I suggest you to do it with face oil and wipe off the excess oil residue before mask application.
