La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream has been one of the most used La Prairie skincare products over the past many years by my family and I, and if you happen to have dry/mature skin, you will enjoy the cream even more.
Scent & Consistency
La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream is a dense cream that feels rich and nurturing.
La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream brings a universally flattering ultra glow to skin without making skin look like an oil slick.
It also has tiny illuminating particles (not shimmer), which enhances the overall look of the skin instantly upon application. Though it isn't as golden compared to their Cellular Radiance Night Cream, I would say that Cellular Radiance Cream is on the relatively subtly glowy side.
It also carries the same scent from their Cellular Radiance collection, which isn't fragrance-free. If you are someone who uses the facial cream around the eyes in general, then I would avoid doing that for La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream as it can run down and irritate the eyes. For the eye area, I rather suggest putting on their Cellular Radiance Eye Cream instead.
Youthful skin is radiant, glowing, alive with inner luminosity, but the years have a tendency to dim the glow. To emulate the luminous moist buoyancy of young skin, La Prairie created a revitalising and perfecting collection that supports the inherent reflective properties of younger-looking skin.
Using a brilliant application of light-restorative technology and rare, golden ingredients, La Prairie scientists have developed a way to give your skin an instant perfecting glow, lasting radiance and youthfulness. The formulas are designed to support mature skin experiencing loss of glow which stems from changes in the skin that occur with ageing. Restorative plants replace vital elements while minerals support deep hydration and encourage more youthful skin functioning.
Cellular Radiance products contain golden reflective pigments as well as La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex to revitalise and perfect the skin’s appearance to a youthful, lustrous texture, tone and luminosity.
I generally have normal skin throughout the year, but my skin can easily be dehydrated from external factors such as air conditioning and dry air over cold seasons. Hence, La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream has been working great for my specific skin condition as it seems to prevent moisture loss pretty well.
- La Prairie Cellular Radiance Emulsion SPF 30
- La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold
Even those days when I don't get much sleep and need to go out and meet people, I've noticed that the cream adds instant luminosity and glow that my skin gets compliments often. Although it isn't a make-up primer, you won't need a glow primer if you use La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream underneath. I personally like to use a sheer foundation like Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Aqua Nude Foundation SPF 20 on top so the glow from my precious cream can be seen through.
- World's Most Expensive Skincare/ My 10+Years with Best Luxury Beauty (La Mer VS La Prairie VS Sisley VS Chanel VS Guerlain)
As a night treatment, the cream keeps my skin smooth, supple and looking well-rested and I haven't experienced any dryness related discomfort in my skin upon wake-up over the past decade or so. Having said that, La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream did break my skin out when I was in my early 20's, which isn't surprising as my skin used to be on the combination side and I didn't have any dryness related issues with my skin back then.
When my mother was in her early stage of menopause, her skin experienced a rollercoaster imbalance, and La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream has helped with hormonal aging. Her skin (in her early 60's) certainly looks and feels a lot firmer and smoother than the ladies around her age with less deep wrinkles.
- La Prairie Skin Caviar Absolute Filler Cream
- La Prairie Skin Caviar Moisturisers (Luxe Cream/ Luxe Cream Sheer/ Firming Complex)
If your main concern is skin lifting and contouring though, I would rather recommend you to try their Skin Caviar collection instead as my family members and I have noticed that La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream seems to be more about skin resilience and aiding skin lipid barrier. Regardless of the degree of maturity and dryness in skin, if you live in a cold/dry climate and/or you happen to start experiencing hormonal aging, La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream can be one of the options that you could try.
